Jaymister 71 Report post Posted January 11, 2008 Krog had 18 points in 13 games in November and then followed that up with 23 points in 12 games in December. So far in January he has 9 points in 4 games, that's 50 points in his last 29 games. Pretty impressive even if it is the AHL, I don't think the Chicago Wolves are affiliated with any NHL club so he's probably a free agent as far as the NHL goes. Does anyone take a chance on this guy? http://stats.theahl.com/stats/gamebygame.php?id=1347 http://stats.theahl.com/stats/gamebygame.php?id=1347

WingFanInStarLand 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 Wasn't Krog the random spare who scored the GTG in the 3rd period of our Game 2 WC Quarterfinal loss to the Ducks in 2003?? I seem to remember cursing his name at my television for some reason...
SweWings 45 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 Didn't this guy play for Frölunda Indians for a while in Sweden? I'd rather the Wings went after somebody like Linus Videll than this guy during the off-season... Not bad for Krog though, I don't doubt there'll be a couple of NHL clubs interested in him during the off-season who are looking for a cheap player... Systemfel 33 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 Didn't this guy play for Frölunda Indians for a while in Sweden? He sure did. Still hoping for him to come back here. He isn't good enough for the NHL, though. He pretty much proved that last year.
Sergei Fedorov91 24 Report post Posted January 14, 2008 Jason Krog always has scored a lot of points in the minor leagues but is a 4th liner at best in the NHL. A little weird, I think he won the hobey baker but must lack foot speed. Guess he's kinda like Kip Miller for the Griffins.
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted January 15, 2008 Krog has been around forever, it seems like. I still remember the goal he scored against the Wings, and it still makes me sick... The guy has major talent at the AHL level, but is not an NHL player. There are always guys like him no matter where you go: talented players who light it up in juniors and the minor leagues, yet can never crack an NHL roster. It's just the way things work. I guess he and Babcock go back a little, but don't expect him to be picked up by the Wings anytime soon...
