(Kinda like the Rafalski thread that's going on right now) No matter what D-man is added, if any, fans will be dissapointed by him because he's not as good Saint Nick. I don't think that's true. I can understand why the thread was started, but I don't necessarily agree with it wholeheartedly. When you pay a guy $6 mil per for 5 years (which is close to Lids money), you unfairly expect perfection because you witness it every night in Lids. Sure, people are unfair when Rafalski makes a turnover or two (everyone does from time to time--unless your name is Lidstrom ) but Raf has been a hair off with some ill-advised turnovers more so than any of his previous seasons in New Jersey. That being said, aside from the turnovers he's been rock solid defensively. You don't notice him as much because he makes smart decisions all the time that seem routine. Just wondering if it's specifically the Wings or just any old cup contender...He's got a no-trade clause right so he can more or less pick and choose where he wants to go, as long as offers come in... and i don't see why the red wings won't make at least a tiny offer...
