Blake pining to become a Wing?

I wouldn't necessarily call it "pining", but (as Chelios said in the interview) who wouldn't want to get dealt to a Stanley Cup contending team instead of playing out the string with a club that's fighting for top odds at the No. 1 pick in June?

So, should we start the "Blake Sucks" or "Blake is a Disappointment" threads yet? (Kinda like the Rafalski thread that's going on right now)

No matter what D-man is added, if any, fans will be dissapointed by him because he's not as good Saint Nick.

please don't get him started. :)

No worries, I'll reserve those posts for the "Other Sports" Forum.

I don't think that's true. I can understand why the thread was started, but I don't necessarily agree with it wholeheartedly. When you pay a guy $6 mil per for 5 years (which is close to Lids money), you unfairly expect perfection because you witness it every night in Lids. Sure, people are unfair when Rafalski makes a turnover or two (everyone does from time to time--unless your name is Lidstrom :P ) but Raf has been a hair off with some ill-advised turnovers more so than any of his previous seasons in New Jersey. That being said, aside from the turnovers he's been rock solid defensively. You don't notice him as much because he makes smart decisions all the time that seem routine. Then all of a sudden a turnover takes place, and that's all people think about.

So if these two rumours are true (Blake and Hossa) whom does Kenny go after, because I can't see him getting both......??

Probably Blake unless Hossa agrees to a long term deal before the move. I think Kenny is going to put defense first this deadline and then depth at offense (or Foresberg).

Lets clone Brett Favre and have him QB out powerplay,

in all seriousness, i want to hear what blake says in response to chelis comments

Why do people keep baiting me?

Is it just me or is every rumor tied to Cheli somehow?

You'd think sirdrake started the thread.

Like Lidstrom's turnover last night that led to a 3 on 1?

Blake> Hossa if it comes down to one. Defense wins championships and ours has been looking rather porous lately. It's really starting to seem like a mistake that we didn't drop the $$$ on Markov. Now we're going to end up giving up prospects and taking a bigger cap hit on Blake.

Gotta love the 'pining'... Just wondering if it's specifically the Wings or just any old cup contender...He's got a no-trade clause right so he can more or less pick and choose where he wants to go, as long as offers come in... and i don't see why the red wings won't make at least a tiny offer...
