There are no previous records to compare against in the new format. Not Gartners or Fedorovs to compare to. I like the new shoot-out with scoring, since the original is still there with SO rules, there is room for a new glitzy version to put the highlights on ESPN. I liked the old especialy since you would have been able to compare them to skaters in the past. I will watch because i love hockey and if it is on i'm going to watch. I don't want the judges scoring the Mike Legg/Robbie Schremp type stuff higher than a sweet, slightly more legitimate/legal move just because "it looks cooler" or something. Regardless, I'm looking forward to the whole thing, especially fastest skater. poxer 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2008 I love what they did to the Obstacle course. They made it a lot harder than it was before. Should be interesting to watch. As for the "Breakaway Challenge", sounds a bit odd but I think it will be something to be in awe about. It will be nice to see what these guys come up with on the breakaway (kinda like Malik's goal). The fastest skater will have to prove itself with me. I like the old layout but the fact that the players are going head-to-head will be cool. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

This is going to be way more exciting than its ever been, and the judged shootout is a great idea. This isn't the new system to decide adtual games.
