Monday's NHL three stars
No. 1 star: Ted Nolan, New York Islanders
No. 2 star: Henrik Zetterberg, Detroit Red Wings
No. 3 star: Travis Zajac, New Jersey Devils

Honorable mention: Chris Osgood, Detroit Red Wings (18 saves on the road for 47th career shutout); Radek Martinek, New York Islanders (during his 25:04 on the ice, he uncorked a blistering drive off the mask of Evgeni Nabokov to chase the San Jose goalie, who returned to surrender three goals in a third-period meltdown); Radim Vrbata, Phoenix Coyotes (goal, two assists during win at Los Angeles).
Osgood gets 47th shutout, Niklas Lidstrom out with right knee injury

Nooo Ozzie's starting. Just kidding hopefully he can bounce back from the slump he's been in and at the same time break the Wings out of theirs. Although i still wouldn't mind seeing Howard starting again, he played well yesterday.

Prediction: Detroit 3 (Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Kopecky)

Colorado 1 (Hejduk)

First off, any links to watch the game online would be greatly appreciated.

Secondly, I really feel like the skid ends tonight. The Wings always seem to play pretty well in Denver, and I think they're going to come out hard tonight. This is big, because I do not want to be headed up to western Canada on a seven (!!) game losing streak.

I thought Hasek's injury was supposed to be a temp thing. He hasn't played in a while.

I think Wings got this game and the Avalanche only score one on Ozzy.

They announced his injury last Monday, so it's been exactly a week, which is how long they said it'd take. Their next game is not until Friday at Calgary, I'd expect Dom to start that game or the Vancouver game on Saturday.

The last Wings game I was able to watch was the 6 games ago, aka the game that started this current losing streak. I'll be able to watch tonight, so hopefully this will end the losing streak. Wings win 4-1, with Ozzie getting back on track.

AHA!!!! This explains it....you are the missing piece of the puzzle! You MUST watch or attend this game and save the Wings further embarassment. I am seriously superstitious...you must watch!

Damnit, Ozzy is starting.

I guess that means Jimmy will probably play.

Meanie!

Ozzie will bounce back tonight, you watch and see! Now if the _efense is available (missing D), and the bounces go our way instead of the way they did yesterday (so close!), we will get back on track at Colorado's expense.

Go, Kopay! Show 'em all you can bury the that puck. Poor guy...

Colorado - 15

Detroit - 0

Paul Stastny - 14 goals

Joe Sakic - goal

Whoever our starting forwards are go out with torn acl's and babcock gets hit in the temple with an errant puck.

WE NEED ALL OF THE WINGS TO STAND UP ON THE BENCH AND YELL OUT "I'M MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THESE LOSSES ANYMORE!!!"

I don't think it will have same effect when half of it will be in broken English.

alright folks,

i figured it out.

the Wings losing stops tonight.

what's so special about tonight, you ask?

im going to go outside, grab a few friends, and we're all gonna pound our sticks on the ground simultaneously chant "win! win! win! win! win! win!" for five minutes.

then hopefully tonight we all will see the Wings bust out in a flying V (staying onside , of course - so Draper can't be on the ice during this)

and during one of our struggling PP's Nicky Lidstrom can fire a knucklepuck from the blue line!

if you want to watch the game online tonight:

channelsurfing.net

scroll way down, they always have versus games on that site, and the quality is very good. sopcast isn't required.

GO MIGHTY DUCKS WINGS!!
