I mean I know the whole team is stinking right now but Homer isn't really producing.Next to Datsyuk and Zetterberg he's the next guy on our team that we look for goal scoring.Im worried......any thoughts?? YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 Hes a deflection machine. What is there to deflect when your point men shoot the puck into the legs of penalty killers or wide of the net?? Im not worried about him. Hes always been streaky. Hes already had 4 or 5 goals taken away from him already this season. Hell still hit 25, maybe 30 if he gets hot like he can. Any other guys (Lebda, Sammy, Hudler) play like this and they get crucified. Let me add: I think Lebda, Sammy, Hudler, and Frazen played like ass. But so did Homer . Sammy, Lebda, and Hudler are s*** right now, all could be traded and I wouldn't care. Lets get this straight, exactly what im telling all my dumb leafs friends that are bragging about the wings losing.... when all 4 of our main defencemen are injured, it WILL affect the play from Pavel and Z. Look at tonight, our defencemen did a TERRIBLE job keeping the puck in, especially on the powerplays, and this made it harder for Pavel or Z to set up plays... as they had to keep going to get the puck and try again. Also, these rookie defencemen cannot pass like Lids, Rafi or Cheli... which makes it even harder for our top players as they rely on that. My point is, the Wings will be fine, Homer will be fine, and dare I say as soon as the team gets healthy and back together finally, they will be a force to reckon with, as they go on to win the Cup. It's amazing how serious some people are around here I totally agree, I avoid being sarcastic for that reason, and are some posters ever serious, I mean really.....whoaaa. I have also learned you need to spell out all aspects of your post or someone will jump one sentence or even word, take everything out of context, and make a federal case about it. But, I still like em, and its fun to interact with you guys. PS: to the LGWer's that are worried, relax, take it easy, i really believe that the defensive injuries, (cheli's excluded) are being exagerated on purpose to both showcase our young prospects to other teams and their GM's (think HOSSA TRADE GUYS), or whatever other trade has in mind, and they are also being thrown out there for the wings coach's, management, etc. to assess how good they really are at this point).
