The Enforcer 13 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 If Holland stands pat at the deadline, can the team make it out of the first round? I don't think so..The Vancouver game told all I need to know about this team.
LIDDYGIBBY5 1 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 If Holland stands pat at the deadline, can the team make it out of the first round? I don't think so..The Vancouver game told all I need to know about this team. All that game told us was if half of the team can't play because of injuries they will be in trouble. Show me any team that will flourish with the kinds of injuries that the Wings had.
NHLrules? 32 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Yes we will. And the game the other night told us the team is crippled from injury. Thats all. However, I dont think we can take a legit shot at the cup even with a healty team unless we fix our blueline and get someone who can score not named ZDH. Oh, and we need to put Samela out to pasture. I don't think so..The Vancouver game told all I need to know about this team. Give me a break. If you hadn't noticed, we were missing a few pretty good players during that game. StevieBoy 2 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Wow...quite the attitude. The wings are in the middle of their worst slump in years and it coincides perfectly with massive injuries across the blueline. Players recover from injuries and slumps end. What has happened so far in the trading that suggests the Wings, once back to their form of a few weeks ago, would be so likely to fall out in the first round? Frozen-Man 144 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Seriously, the Vancouver game? Where we were without the vast majority of our defense? How about the enitre rest of the season before we got so many injuries that we hardly have a team in Grand Rapids anymore. I'm not saying that the recent slump should not be a concern but lets have some perspective. The team that played Vancouver does not resemble what our will probably look like come playoffs. The Enforcer 13 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 We need some depth. I'd be ok with Fedorov and Stuart. Fix the holes..........

GoalieManPat 1,007 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Jesus H Christ. The day isnt even over yet and people are talking about first round exits. Please all shut the F up already. THE SKY IS NOT FALLING EVEN IF NO DEAL IS MADE
KnightFire420 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 People really do need to chill out. Another first round exit? Yes that's happened in the past but it didn't happen last year. The Wings were in the final 4 so I wouldn't be to worried about this team. I actually think this team healthy is better than last years team and so we should do better already, anything after the trade deadline is bonus. Relax. Rice 42 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 So the Vancouver game told you the Wings can't win without Lidstrom, Chelios, Kronwall, Rafalski, and Cleary? Wow! Some of you guys have got to be kidding me.

cirov19 1 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Hahhahahahahaha, the team is winning this year, with a trade or without one. Hopefully with one... but I still have faith in this team and that they can win. The Vancouver game meant nothing, as soon as everybody is healthy again we will start winning again. I can't wait until Cleary is baack.
redwings1914 18 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Were completely f*cked......Lets just fold our team now... /end sarcasm....(its a shame I have to put this on here now....)

Yemack 1 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 This streak started when Cleary went down, and I don't think it is a coincidence. how many times do I have to say this but that is flat out wrong. We've been playing terrible but won in the end, way before he got hurt and we lost to the worst team in the league before he got hurt. We were just tired and exausted. Obviously Cleary is an important piece on our team but the reason we lost is not because he is out of the lineup.
hardcoretom21 71 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 What the f*ck is going on here? why are there still people panicking? Geez did the Sens and Ducks make a move last year when they made it to the finals??? Holland is GM for a reason, if the prices are too steep, the Wings can work around it geez I can't believe we're seeing these kinds of threads

Obviously Cleary is an important piece on our team but the reason we lost is not because he is out of the lineup. This team has played a similar number of games as the rest of the team in the league, I guarantee that conditioning isn't an issue. Cleary brings it every night on both ends of the ice. He makes plays that end up with the puck in the net at one end and keeps it out at the other.

zenway9 1 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Does anyone remember how we dominated when we were healthy? C'mon, 1 player at the deadline is not going to take us to the finals...a healthy team WILL.

The Enforcer 13 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 (edited) Tell ya what. I'll take a balanced team with 2nd line scoring over what we have right now in the playoffs. I'll eat my crow if they make it past the first round and win the cup. Edited February 26, 2008 by The Enforcer
