Steve Bernier paying off for Sabres

yea but they only scored 1 goal. :P

I know. but who cares. that was only to show how much I read into first impressions :)

Bernier is an excellent pickup for the Sabres, no doubt. but I'm not going to be calling

him the second coming of Jesus Christ just because he scored a goal in his first game

with new team. this really doesn't mean anything

I'm not sure why everyone thinks San Jose got stronger. Bernier is going to develop into a good power forward. And wasn't their probloem scoring anyway?

There's that first rounder they gave up too.

:D

I said it before.. STUPID move by Sharks. Not because Bernier is scoring in his first game, But because they gave up a 1st rounder, which is of such great value alone..ALONG with a good young solid PWF type player..

All of that just for a RENTAL player. You could tell by the way Camp talked about the Sabres and Buffalo in general he loved it there. I dont see him sticking around.. So basically SJ gave away 1 of there most promising players and a 1st for a 7th round selection.. Silly.. Just Silly..

God.. Sabres got such a great deal here.

Agreed. They had to learn from losing Briere and Drury the way they did last year.

Rental or not, you're saying you would rather have a late First round pick (Exactly what the Sharks gave up) rather then have an all star defenseman who can solidify your defense to serious cup contenders. The Sharks two best players Thornton and Nabokov aren't getting any younger, their window to win the Cup is now.

This is why you're just a fan while Doug Wilson is one of the best GM's in the NHL.

Pick #20 is not so bad, give or take a few slots.
