Andy Pred 48 337 Report post Posted March 8, 2008 I have no doubt that the Wings will hit the 100 pt mark again, but can one of the eurotwins hit that mark in the scoring? With just 14 games left Dats needs 22 and Hank 24. Who was the last Wing to get 100pts ? Both need 10pts to beat their own previous best tallies.
irishtemper14+25 11 Report post Posted March 8, 2008 i would love it if one got 100 pts...but i think if one gets it the other will be close
wingslogo19 281 Report post Posted March 9, 2008 I'am pretty confident we're going to get 100 points
Earthhuman 8 Report post Posted March 9, 2008 Well if we can't win 3 of the next 14, that would just be terrible. So we will hit 100. I don't think either of the players will, but if one did, it would probably be Zetterberg. If he had a healthy season, he would reach 100.
Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted March 9, 2008 I don't think either one will make it to 100 points, personally. Its definitely possible, but with every team fighting for their life for a playoff spot, teams may be a bit more competative, and Babcock may sit them for the last couple games to rest them up and make sure they're 100%. Besides, they're most efficient when together, and I think Babs will want them split up as much as possible on the home stretch to "spread out the offense" for the playoffs. Again, its definitely possible, and I would love to see it, but its unlikely. But these guys are also young still, and are still getting better. If they don't each get 100 point seasons sometime throughout their career, I'll consider it a disappointment.
Firehawk 305 Report post Posted March 9, 2008 It's not impressive anymore to earn 100 pts in an 82 game season when someone's guarenteed 2 points every game. Last year didn't the top 6 or 7 teams in the west get 100 pts?
IceMunkee 15 Report post Posted March 9, 2008 I think it is in the realm of possibilty for Dats to get to a hundred but unlikely. He woould have to average 1.57 pnts per game, every game to make it. Hank would need slightly more with 1.71 points per game.

Datsyuk is not young anymore, he is in his prime... and for whatever, Russian and East-European players seem to oxidize faster than others. So who knows how many more years it will be a possibility for him. As for Zetterberg, he is close to his peak, and I don't see him have an 82-game season very often. #19=Legend 29 Report post Posted March 9, 2008 I doubt it, but if Zetts can finish the season the way he started it, it is a possibility
Vincanni 1 Report post Posted March 9, 2008 I hypothesize both Datsyuk and Zetterberg ending up finishing in the 90s this year, but if not for injury I do believe Zata would break 100.
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted March 9, 2008 For whoever was wondering, Fedorov was the last guy to get 100 points on the Wings, with 107 points back in the 1995-1996 season.

I think you're in denial. Offensively Datsyuk is at his ceiling. Zetterberg I only called 'close'.
Andy Pred 48 337 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 Well, Pasha now has 6 games to get 10 points; I hope he carry's on the way he has being playing of late as he has 5+5 in his last 6 games! Think that the games lost to injury will stop Z, but for that he would have got the 100 pt mark I have no doubt. 15pts in the last 6 is probably beyond even Z's talent. Kira 451 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 I think Pasha has a good shot at it, though I know it's not something he's consciously aiming for. He just wants to win, whether he scores or not. But I really think he could do it.
Zion 93 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 90 for Pavs. Playing with Samuelsson and being injured has finished Z's chances.
