I think Duck Guy has mentioned in the past that those people are morons and doesn't agree with them very often. Which Ducks forum? Allducks.com?

maybe it is the homerism in them but i dont like the ducks forums.

just saw it on tsn.ca, click on the article and then select the accompanying video titled STOMP!

p.s. ill be needing those golden tickets

Holy s***, there is NO debating that. That isn't a player trying to regain his footing or anything like that. That's a deliberate stomp on Kesler's calf. Vancouver needs to make something happen here.

I'm not usually one to root for guys getting injured, no matter how much I hate them.

But if I was watching a game and saw someone like Derian Hatcher remove a couple of Pronger's teeth with a crosscheck, or send him to the ice with a BC two-hander, my honest first reaction would be "How do you like that, b*tch!"

Because he's been on the giving side of so many dirty plays over the years, there honestly would be some satisfaction in watching him get a taste of his own medicine.

Hell, if Hatcher or another player did do that to Pronger, the sales of that players jersey would probably skyrocket around the league.

I was just going to say something similar.

I'm so f-ing sick of Pronger. He gets away with too much s*** and it needs to end. I'm disgusted by the league for not doing anything about the incident. Ridiculous.

Kind of like when he took a run at Yzerman's knee and ended up tearing his own ACL? Ah, good times, good times.

Yeah, that was pretty satisfying, but Stevie got out of the way and Pronger did that to himself. That was more like poetic justice.

I'm looking for vengeance. :D

Just saw the video.....Yeah most hockey players start their skating stride by lifting their foot straight up and pushing down flat on the ice. I hear if you do that it makes you jump in the air and start your stride faster. Anyone to claim that Pronger was just starting his stride is full of sh*t.

tiz prolly better Prongs didnt get a suspension... the refs and the League will probably watch him alot closer for the next few weeks.

I'm not trying to be rude, but what on earth makes you think that the refs will be watching him alot closer in the next few weeks due to him not getting a suspension?

I just watched what happened on TSN. While I wouldn't expect him to get 30 games for what he did it does look like his feet were tangled up but it also looks like he pulled his foot free and then stomped again on Kesler before skating away.

The league letting him get away with no punishment is ridiculous. I didn't expect even ten games but nothing? Yuck.

To me, it didn't look near as deliberate as the Simon stomp, which was the definition of deliberate. Of course the danger factor was higher in this case due to where he came down on Kesler's leg.

I guess i'm not really condemning Prongs for this one but given his history I have a hard time buying that it was just an accident.

That said, how many times in a given week's worth of games do guys get tangled up and go down and one guy traps the other guy's leg? Now, how many of those instances involve one player stepping on the other, even inadvertently?

Not many. Which is just something to think about.

Yeah, I dont know about anyone else, but Pronger off the ice for ANY amount of time is better than "the league watching him."

Hes the most suspended player in the league. If the league "was watching", theyd have been all over this. Fact of the matter is they dont go around making examples out of their star players. its just a fact.

So after finally seeing the video, it looks like he got his leg free, foot on the ice for a brief half of a wink and then stomp!

Do I think he should have been suspended yes, at least 10 games. AM I surprised that he didn't get a stitch of fine or penalty, No, not at all!!

Ya. To think that he was just starting his stride is just ridiculous and naive. To think that Chris Pronger isn't capable of making such a dirty play is even more ridiculous and naive.

In my eyes, its pretty obvious what happened becase I can remember myself in the situation that Kesler was in back when I was playing competively. Kesler was down with Pronger on top of him, and Kesler was a little pissed off and frustrated with the situation, so he was using his legs to keep Pronger tied up so he couldn't move. Back when I played, I would do whatever I could in that situation to impede the progress of another player. So then Pronger the Deush gets really pissed off, frees himself from Kesler's legs, stomps on him once for good measure so as to say "Ya, don't mess with me", then skates away.

I wouldn't expect him to get 30 games, because that was largely based around the last suspension that Simon received which was very serious. However, that is the only stipulation, in my mind, that would result in Pronger getting fewer games than Simon (in a fair NHL). To say that the in-game situation during which a dirty act was commited has the ability to make the act seem more or less acceptable is ridiculous to me. If you step on somebody purposefully, whether or not he has you tangled up or some s***, you should be thrown to the curb.

Nonetheless, Pronger walks away not with 20 games, not with 15, or 10, 5, or even 1. But with ZERO disclipline for an act that, in my eyes, warranted him missing through the first round of the playoffs. Not 100% surprising, but pretty ******* ridiculous (Pardon my French).

Wow. As if I needed another reason to hate Pronger. Seeing the video, shows it was a deliberate act. You can’t argue he was off balance, or just taking a stride to skate away. Kesler tried to tie up Pronger’s feet , Pronger gets mad and stomps on Kesler’s leg. As far as I’m concerned that video is the smoking gun. And the NHL does nothing … unbelievable ( kinda)
