12Newf 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2008 okay so this just happened so i dont have a link yet but seriously, leafs are on the PP and davison from the NY islanders shoots from 174' away and beats toskala! ive been laughing for like 20 minutes at least. oh and on the same broadcast i couldve sworn i heard the NYI guys saying that joey macdonald has like 3 fights this year in the AHL? is this true? 12Newf 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2008 trust me, this will be on every blooper reel for like 50 years. sure it took a funny bounce at the last second but nevertheless end to end shorthanded goals that go past a goalie dont happen to often...if ever. unless youre playing nhl08 because they happen all the damn time in that game. I can easily recall three from goofy bounces involved in Detroit games. Langenbrunner on Osgood against Dallas in the playoffs in 1998, Lidstrom on Cloutier in the playoffs in 2002, and Datsyuk's goofy knuckleball goal from the blueline at St. Louis early this season against Legace. Tommy Salo's bad goal against Belarus probably deserves mentioning as well in the 2002 Olympics. They are definitely few and far between but it does occur.
