What I learned from the game tonight:

1. Hudler should take a nice vacation starting April 10th. Replace him in the playoffs with Meech or Hartigan, at least they can bang and are defensively responsible. Get a job as an Ewok for the next star wars. hell, I don't care.

2. Mac is not ready yet. Downey is a (sigh) better skater at this point.

3. Ozzie, please stop those bong hits at least an hour before the game. Seriously, find your groove.

4. Half of this board is man-crushin' on Franzen.

No, it's more like amusement that a bunch of online dweebs can't keep from getting a stiffy from a little 72 pixel wide pair of boobs.

Hahahaha, ok

The girls in the picture are definitely cute, people SHOULD like the picture.

Not quite sure I see your logic on that. The last goal was a softie, I won't deny that. But the first goal was just a flawless pass from behind the goal with no defensive coverage in front; goaltenders rarely have a chance on shots like that. The next two goals were deflections - one off Franzen and Tkachuk, then the second off Lidstrom.

He left the short side too open on the McDonald goal.

The Johnson goal didn't look like a deflection, but even if it was, it didn't change direction that much, and was deflected near the blueline. Also, Tkachuk wasn't screening Ozzie, so he could see the entire play.

I'm just saying he looked shaky, and obviously got outplayed by that little rat Legace, who cost us the 2006 Cup.

Homer is superior when healthy. Superior hands, superior hustle and superior play in front of the net. Can't believe anyone who watched a game in their life would think otherwise. When Franzen can prove he can score without one or two of the sickest players alive on his line, then he has proven something.
Franzen has scored some goals without being on a line with D & Z. Of course, playing with the eurotwins is going to give him more opportunities to score because they are pure magic together, no doubt, but he doesn't absolutely need to be on their line to score. He's just on an absolute hot streak right now regardless of who he's on a line with (although of course he has more chances with D &Z).

You're underestimating the quality of that picture.

If you're watching them through hasek colored glasses, I can understand how you'd see it that way.

and away we go...

I'm a Hasek fan? Well, that's news to me. At least Puckloo would be proud. :)

It was.

They showed about 3 replays that showed it deflect off a Wings players (Franzen?) skate. Then it turned into a knuckler that he tried to fight off, it hit his shoulder and it ended up top corner.

The last one was a little weak, but otherwise I thought the others were good goals.

it's not really worth getting into anyway.

Danke, harold. I knew I was right on that one. And yeah, it was Franzen's skate. From one angle, it also looked like Tkachuk deflected the puck a second time with the shaft of his stick while at the edge of the crease, but I can't be 100% certain.

The San Jose feed is hilarious tonight. Every time they mention Niedermayer and Selanne, they mention their *cough cough* "retirement"...coughs included.

Guh, Anaheim ties it up on the PP, thanks to a broken stick.

I wasnt able to watch the game. Someone want to tell me how Mac did. It sounded like he didnt do very well.

Did he hit?

Get a standing O?

Think he will play sunday?

He didn't do spectacularly. He only had 5:03 TOI and I believe officially he had 1 hit. I don't remember if he got a standing O, and I have absolutely no idea if he'll play Sunday.
