The footage shows Kopecky's leg gets trapped as the Blue Jacket slides into him going left to right making his body weight fall sideways on his knee. When the leg cannot move out straight as this occurs the ligiments are strained often to the point of tearing.

The way he limped not from putting weight on it, but trying to push off on the leg suggests that latteral movement or flexing of the knee was causing great pain. This can range from a pulled or strained hamstring to strains or tears in the ACL or MCL , but in this case more likely the latter knee injury range.

Most common amongst Offensive linemen in the NFL.

Caps are in the playoffs as the #8 seed at 92 pts with 1 game remaining. Philly is now #9 at 91 ptswith 2 games remaining. Caps MUST win their next game, putting them at 94, and hope that Philly loses at least 1 of their remaining 2 games in regulation to secure the 8th spot.

Didn't think of that. Gotta say, I didn't think they'd be contending for the division this year. Then again, I don't think anyone saw them coming. One of the great stories of 2007-2008.

Good job tonight. I was pretty disappointed with Hasek on the 2nd goal, but he really pulled himself togather, and kept us in the game. That new kid from MSU was pretty good. His energy was awesome.

Congrats on winning the President's

I hate that a team that is still questionable of even being in the playoffs at this point can somehow end up third in their conference.

Congrats to the Wings for winning the President's Trophy. As a Sharks fan, I hope the Sharks and the Wings meet up in the WCF.

And as a Wings fan, if the Wings arent winning the Cup, Id like to see it go to San Jose, simply because of JR. He deserves it.

Good job on another Presidents Trophy, time to rest some players while we do have injuries good thing it isn't star players be thankful for that. Abra-Kadabra was great tonight he could fill a spot. Stuart should be back shortly, its that time of the year boys lets play to our potential and the rest will work itself out.

^^^ we'll be more prepared for you next year hopefully give a better performance in the season series against your Hawks. You've made leaps and bounds this year, CBH are on the verge of being a competitor.

One more game though should be a good one to watch.

Good Luck!

:-(

It speaks volumes about a club that can string together so many consecutive 100-pt seasons. Congrats to the Wings.

You really don't have anything to be ashamed of at all. The Hawks had a great season and there young players are going to be that much better next year and IMO they will make the post season next year
