Playoff TV schedule

While watching the last FSN broadcast, I think Keating mentioned that the Wings games would be carried on FSN throughout the playoffs. Is that actually the case, or will they only carry the first round or two of evening games with weekend matches on NBC? I don't get Versus at my house, so if FSN has every game that would be awesome.

My guess for games 3 and 4 would be Tuesday and Thursday.

According to an article I read over at MLive, the Red Wings expect it will be an every other day series.

This is not official, but the Wings anticipate a schedule that has them starting Thursday, then playing Game 2 next Saturday, with Game 3 on April 14 and Game 4 on April 16.

Only thing we know so far is:

730pm Thursday - FSN

2pm Saturday - NBC

We can guess that it'll be:

8-830pm Monday - FSN

8-830pm Wed - FSN

Where did you see the start time for Thursday? Normally these early round night games start at 7 so that the west coast games can start at 10.

All I can say is that these games BETTER be televised on NHL Centre Ice, otherwise any Canadian fans are going to strike out on seeing the games without actually going to them.

I was pretty disappointed to see that TSN won't be showing any of the Wings/Preds games.

Hopefully this gets changed though...

I guess we'll know more in the next couple of days, but the outlook of it being on Centre Ice just got a bit better:

From http://www.nhl.com/nhlhq/centerice/:

Get in the center of the action with NHL CENTER ICE

Did you see over 1,100 NHL games last season?

Our NHL CENTER ICE subscribers did. That's over 40 fast, powerful and aggressive games each week, including some available in high definition!

Plus, select games from the first two rounds of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Here's hoping that they show it !

Game 1 is on Thursday at 7 PM on Versus

Game 2 is on Saturday at 2 PM on NBC

Don't they sometimes do it where Versus AND FSN each have a feed for a game?? Or am I just imagining this? lol Because that link says all of round 1 will be Versus and NBC, but I'm almost positive that FSN will have some coverage in the 1st round. I think I remember being able to choose which feed to watch last year, but like I said, I may have just been imagining this.

I just looked on tvguide.com and FSN is showing a Tigers game on Thursday. Why are all the games on Versus and NBC? No more FSN at all this year?

So what's the deal with the Center Ice subscription?

I thought I understood that you only get regular season games?

I live in Canada.

Anyone know if they're showing playoff hockey on Center Ice? They haven't in the past. In Canada.

From center ice FAQ site:

Are NHL playoff games included in NHL CENTER ICE?

Yes, select games from the first two rounds of the Stanley Cup playoffs are included in your NHL CENTER ICE subscription. So i assume it does not matter if in Canada or US...

I'm glad to see Center Ice will carry select games, but I have a feeling the select games we want to see will be on Versus. Sadly, I don't have Versus.

surprised no games on Sportsnet in Canada too.. damn!

guess we're stuck with sopcast or versus (online, using a proxy)..

just checked to order Center Ice Online for the playoffs.. http://www.nhl.com/nhlhq/centerice_online.html

but that would be useless it seems because of this in the FAQ

Will Versus games be available on NHL Center Ice Online?

No. Versus is the NHL’s Exclusive US National Cable rights holder, therefore you will have to tune into the Versus TV broadcast. If you don’t have Versus please contact your local cable or satellite operator for details. Please go to this link for Versus channel locator: http://www.versus.com/findversus/

I don't know for which games, but FSN will have coverage of some games in the playoffs. Ken and Mickey were vaguely discussing the topic during one of the games a few days ago.
