Vladiator 116 Report post Posted April 16, 2008 The whistle is annoying but comes no where close that screaming lady in San Jose who screamed her head off every time the Wings took a shot on SJ's goal. Ended up having to watch the games in San Jose with the volume muted because I couldn't take it anymore.

RoninJai 5 Report post Posted April 16, 2008 Maybe we can get the guy w/ the whistle and that dude in Calgary w/ the air horn thats at EVERY game, and set them both on fire. We can call it a service to fans in both arenas. Seriously, if I was at the Joe, and some j-hole behind/next/in front of me was blowing an air horn every 30 seconds...he'd be eating it in about 3 minutes. C'mon people. Where's the violence when you need it?
Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted April 16, 2008 If this crap every became a part of the Joe I would have to stop going. It is just amazingly annoying, it gives me a headache every time.

Guest micah Report post Posted April 16, 2008 I love the whistle - I used to be pretty "meh" about it, but it has a sort of Pavlovian effect on me. I hear it, and my head looks up from whatever I'm reading as I "watch" the game and expect some bodieds to start flying around (or in the case of this series, goals to be scored). Mooker 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2008 in a way its sort of a good thing. by hearing that annoying whistle everytime that moron is on the ice our skill players know when they need to watch their backs a little bit more. Nice point. I wonder if the Wings really notice the whistle and use it as a warning: "danger, danger, watch for flying elbows from shrimp with feet 10 inches off the ice" or "warning, gloved sucker-punch mode activated".
