HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 19, 2008 Now that I am calm I'd like to say a few things. *in no particular order* #1. Ozzie was awesome and I am SO damn proud of him. He was extremely calm and composed out there and he completely deserved the W. It was so chilling when the fans kept cheering his name so loudly and you know Oz LOVES it. Awesome he got 2nd start of the game. So damn happy for him. #2. Flip! He played his best game of the series tonight. Finally getting a goal and being the Flip we know and love. #3. Drake has been awesome in this series. He may not end up on the scoresheet but he does the little things that make a diffference. I knew it would be the post season in which he'd finally shine. #4. Mac played really well tonight. Throwing his body around, clearing the puck out of our zone, taking plays and passes away from the Preds. He's playing really well. #5. Mule was a beast ALL NIGHT. No one deserved the game winner more than this man. I love him and kind of want to have his babies. #6. Cleary played his best game of the playoffs. He'll only get better! #7. It goes in terms of lower seeds. Since the Wings are #1 they will face the team that has the lowest seed that wins Round 1. If the Wild and Sharks were to win then they would face the Stars or Ducks. If the Flames win they will face them as they are the 7th seed. If the Sharks win that series, and the Avs win their series, we'll face the Avs as they are the lowest of all the teams that have advanced to Round 2. Sorry if I made that really confusing. I still don't know what the hell Z is doing out there, but at least Flip and Franzen woke up again... assuming the Wings move on, which i think we all can agree they pretty much have this series, i thought the Wings get the winner of the ducks/stars series? Our chances of winning the series are a lot better than they were this afternoon, but I don't think there's any way that I would say they "have this series" at this point. There are those goalie types who latch on to Winning Teams, reaching for their personal shot at glory, because they've been unable to GET "Their" Team there. The Team they latch onto can never really, truly be called "their" Team. They're little more than mercenaries. Do the job they're paid to do, then move on. Ozzie, though..... chelios4eva 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2008 I know its late and everything, and I don't wanna "brag" or nothin.. but I'm kinda big deal. I must say I am the sole reason why the Wings won tonight. Reason? I found out today that I had to go to this concert type thing at 8, I was kinda pissed and I had to leave by 7:50. So I was stretching my luck and was trying to catch as much of theh game as possible and finally Filpula scored, so my moms like "ok he scored, lets go" So I went. 9:30 it ended and I looked at the score and it was still 1-0 in t he third. I got home went to NHL.com and saw that the score was 1-1. I went to the t.v, ot started and the Wings scored. Did that story have anything to do with anything? Probably not...
