Duck Guy 86 Report post Posted April 18, 2008 @ Game 5: Stars lead 3-1 10:30 PM (East coast time) SERIES NOTES-The Ducks try to make a quick turnaround in their bid to stave off elimination in the Western Conference quarterfinal series as they host the Dallas Stars in Game 5 at the Honda Center. "Dallas is outplaying us," Ducks goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere said. "We just haven't played at the level we need to be successful." - the Stars have not won a first-round series since defeating the Edmonton Oilers in 2003, which is also the last time they closed out a playoff series on the road. @ Game 5: Rangers lead 3-1 7:30 PM (East coast time) SERIES NOTES-Devils will also be trying to avoid elimination tonight. While the contests have been relatively close, the Rangers have made goaltender Martin Brodeur pay physically. "Right now they are creating their things," Brodeur said Thursday. "We allowed them to go to the net and they are taking full advantage of me. Go DuCkS Wont be able to watch the ducks play tonight fate would have it that my freind is celebrating his B-day tonight so i am most likely going to beach so i will be on later tonight either super happy or super sad -i count 18 teams that have come back from a 3-1 series deficit starting from 1987

Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 18, 2008 The Stars might have a tough time ousting Anaheim at the Ponda Center. Despite Anaheim coming out flat in their own barn in games 1 and 2, I expect a much better effort. The Rangers are in Brodeur's head. I expect this series to be over tonight. Firehawk 305 Report post Posted April 18, 2008 I wouldn't be surprised if Anaheim wins tonight and forces 6, but I dont' think they'll win honestly. I think Dallas is all over them. I think it's a fluke Anaheim won a game. NJ, hard to say. Brodeur could easily steal that game tonight.

She went up to JS and talked to him (She's working on a project for him and his wife and he remembered her) anyway....She wished them good luck!
ami 273 Report post Posted April 18, 2008 dux fate has been foreordained on season opener day. these morons have never recovered from their London trip... today's supposed to be a good day for a sole reason - dux would be presented golf-clubs and good hard kick in their f-asses out of SCP. can't wait to see pronger's, niedermayer's, perry's faces... Duck Guy 86 Report post Posted April 18, 2008 (edited) DuckGuy my friend (season tix holder for hte dux) ran into the team eating their "pregame" meal. She went up to JS and talked to him (She's working on a project for him and his wife and he remembered her) anyway....She wished them good luck! good 2 see she is doing her part. dux fate has been foreordained on season opener day. these ducks have never recovered from their London trip... today's supposed to be a good day for a sole reason - dux would be presented golf-clubs and good hard kick in their f-asses out of SCP. can't wait to see pronger's, niedermayer's, perry's faces... being one of the the last teams to end the 06-07 season and one of the first teams to start the 07-08 season and being 4th seed doesent seem that bad... this year's scoring has been disappointing i dont blame the london trip sure it could of been a factor then but not now in the playoffs... and if the ducks where against some other team other then the stars it would of been a easier series (i would think) for the ducks.. Dallas has always dominated the ducks this year it is just one of those things. Just got unlucky. Its like iam sure most of the wings fans would of HATED a wings-ducks first round series (not saying the ducks would beat them) same thing with ducks fans just with Dallas. T.Low 1,011 Report post Posted April 19, 2008 Did'nt see it but apparently Brodeur & Avery skated right past each other without shaking hands lol EDIT: Just saw that a thread was created on this topic. Saw it on CBC. They simply didn't make eye contact and stepped past each other. I want the Ducks to win. I want the best team to win the Stanley Cup. I want the Wings to beat the Ducks for the West, then beat Montreal for Lidstrom to be first to raise Lord Stanley's Cup. But it won't totally break my heart for Turco to shut them down.
