Mooker 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 Anyone see the difference in analysis in between periods? First intermission: Why the Avs are not winning. Second: Why they are coming back. I missed it. I was distracted by the Avs balls on Jones' chin.

kylee 727 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 lets not all turn on Ozzie now. plenty of time left to get one back and play lock down defense.
Louisville 112 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 Please guys, win this game, and get Stuart back in here! I wanna be in a good mood tonight, and a 4-1 blown lead would not do that.
Tiribulus 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 I really wish this team would not sit on leads I think there's a curse on this team for that. They've been doing it for years even though it's burned em a hundred times.
seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 momentum shift because of soft goal by ozzie....shouldn't have happened. But it did. Pretty deep, huh?
Viperar 16 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 lets not all turn on Ozzie now. plenty of time left to get one back and play lock down defense. no one is turning on him, it was simply a soft goal that led to a momentum shift.
kylee 727 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 (edited) no one is turning on him, it was simply a soft goal that led to a momentum shift. indeed but you've been here long enough to understand how criticism tends to snowball on Wings goalies. Never_Retire_Steve 35 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 Montreal plays a lot like Dtroit........ lots of skill......... outplay teams.......... can't hold on to leads
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 momentum shift because of soft goal by ozzie....shouldn't have happened. That goal deflated the Wings as much as spark the divealanche. I know we were still up 2, but when your goalie gives up goals like that, it makes the players wander what else will happen.
Doggy 130 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 (edited) Anyone see the difference in analysis in between periods? First intermission: Why the Avs are not winning. Second: Why they are coming back. I don't watch VS intermissions. It's like watching monkeys trying to get food out of a can without a can opener. They'll do everything to try and work out what's going on but never get it. akustyk 84 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 Price let in a horrible goal early in the third to let the Flyers take the lead Philly got back what they lost because refs decided Kovalev can play baseball in the crease. I still want Montreal to beat the goons but they didn't deserve that goal
Cruiser008 37 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 Ozzie finished the period well, but none of this would have happened if he hadn't given up that soft goal. I'd like to think that when we score 4 goals, we shouldn't have to battle hard to win the game. It was a bit weak but I don't think it was that soft; Liles shot that perfectly and on the replay you can even see that it hit the post before going in. Although Ozzie should have come out to challenge the shot the play happened quickly and it was more of a slapper. The 3rd Avs goal was all Detroit's fault. Nero 20 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 no one is turning on him, it was simply a soft goal that led to a momentum shift. And the rest of the team not noticing the momentum shift and became reluctant to amp up the energy letting Colorado get within 1 shot.
Hockeytown Red Wings 245 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 Philly got back what they lost because refs decided Kovalev can play baseball in the crease. I still want Montreal to beat the goons but they didn't deserve that goal The puck went off Biron before it went in, therefore it was not a high stick because the stick was shoulder high. HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 The 2 on 1 was a soft goal? The two saves at the end were huge. Wings will be fine. GO WINGS!! GO OZZIE!! Shut 'em down in the 3rd!

It's the same as Arnott's goal on Hasek, and Hasek was crucified on LGW, although fairly, for it. I'm not going to cut Ozzie any more slack. He has to stop that. Firehawk 305 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 Anyone see the difference in analysis in between periods? First intermission: Why the Avs are not winning. Second: Why they are coming back. Yep. I expect the wings to take a lesson from last round and continue the pursuit like in period 1. Babcock should be screaming at him. And that second goal by Osgood was terrible. Packer487 3 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 The 2 on 1 was a soft goal? Not at all. The 2nd one was horrible though. We need to respond and get a quick one here in the third...don't give them a chance to THINK about completing this comeback.
Firehawk 305 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 In additon, I do not think the 3rd goal by the avs was soft. Nothing he could do there. That was the defense breaking down.
