If this series goes back to the Shark Tank, I think we may very well be playing Game 3 in San Jose.

A series with San Jose might be dangerous, if they come back to win in 7. Imagine the confidence they'd have

That is a real possibility. But, I do feel that Dallas will win if it goes to 7. I just want who ever pulls this out to be really, really spent.

It's kind of a toss-up, though.

Confidence in being the first NHL team in 33 years to come back from a 0-3 deficit? Sure.

Back-to-back seven game series, though? That's gotta wear down on a team.

These teams are starting to look tired....missed assignments, disjointed coverages and heavy legs. Kind of like me after 2 periods of rec league hockey!

but-this is good news for the wings...

7 game series or epic ot, please hockey gods...

This is intense...... I'm really torn, personally I like San Jose better than I like Dallas, however I think we match up better against the Stars so I really don't know who to cheer for. Either way I want this to go 7 with both of these games going into OT, so for tonight......... GO SHARKS!!

i don't like the thought of the sharks in round 3 one bit. i know you have to play the best to be the best and sip from lord stanley. BUT we own the stars. always have always will. the sharks on the other hand would be the most energized team in hockey in the last 33 years (last time an NHL team came back from 3-0 to win a series, 1975 islanders).

note: of the 3 teams to ever come back from a 3-0 series deficit to win 4 staraight, 1942 Leafs, 1975 Ilses and the 2004 red sox The leafs and red sox went on to win their respective sports championships that year.

The thing is, none of those other teams went 7 games in both their first 2 rounds either. No team who has done that has ever gotten past round 3. They will flat out become to tired to keep up with a week long rested Red Wings team.

ahhh. i guess whichever way you look at the stats you gotta feel the wings have the edge having trounced a team most picked to beat them. after watching the pens today i honestly believe the wings are the best team in hockey and its up to them to prove it!

that said, go stars.

That doesn't matter. The Leafs came back in the Stanley Cup finals against Detroit so they didn't 'go on' to anything. The Isles lost 3 straight after DOMINATING the Pens for four games in the comeback and the Sox are a baseball team.

For me, this series is showing me that we should definitely not lose to either of these teams. Dallas are the masters of squandering chances and crumbling under pressure and the Sharks are as sloppy as it gets. Both teams will be significantly worn out and we have had the number of both for a few years.

The Isles couldn't the first round was a best of 3 back then. All of their series' went the limit in '75.
