Ontario Wingsfan 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2008 Great action in that period SJ has to be feeling good with it being 0-0 after the way Dallas came at them hard early and could'nt convert (although they came damn close a few times). Looking forward to the 2nd.
dawings 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2008 Great game so far! I can't believe the 3 pretty open net shots that Dallas missed!
redwingsgirl 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2008 I haven't watched much of this series - just a few minutes here and there. I did just hear the TSN announcers say that Dallas has only had ONE line score this entire series. I find that interesting after seeing the way we are able to score with all 4 of our lines and then mix up our lines and still produce.
Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted May 5, 2008 Man Dallas breaks out so fast; our defense better be ready to clog up our blueline, and our defensive forwards better be working their legs out to be able to keep up assuming we end up playing Dallas.
Ontario Wingsfan 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2008 1-0 Stars
Nightfall 871 Report post Posted May 5, 2008 1-0 Stars Yup, and the team that has scored first in every game in this series has lost. Scary stat I know, but it does carry some weight.

Heaps of different players have scored for Dallas this series from at least two, probably three lines.

Scary stat, yes, but look at the Nashville series with us. The home team won every game...until Game 6. *shrug*

I thought that was a crazy stat considering it's in game 6 of this series!
Nightfall 871 Report post Posted May 5, 2008 Scary stat, yes, but look at the Nashville series with us. The home team won every game...until Game 6. *shrug* True story. I think they key to that stat is that one team sits back once they get the lead, opening the door for the other team to win the game. Stats are just stats though. I guess we will see how this game turns out. If SJ comes back to win and then win game 7 the same way, that will be the stat of the series.

And the Dallas Stars will officially be the biggest chokers in sports since the 2004 New York Yankees. EDIT: Oops, got our championship year mixed up with the Sox.
