vladdy16 2,154 Report post Posted May 8, 2008 Not surprised - Dallas has room to give him the minutes he wants - we don't. Bon Chance!
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted May 8, 2008 Someone should tell this "Fabian" that Dallas is fond of Finns more than Swedes. Perhaps he has the two teams confused. Anyway, it looks like he's just another character who expects the Wings to lose this series. We'll show him.
Reds4Life 51 Report post Posted May 8, 2008 Good choice for Brunnstrom. He will not get much attention in Dallas = less pressure. Too bad, I think he would fit well in Detroit.

Im a little surprised he picked us. We usually lose these types to larger markets.

We usually lose these types to larger markets. Really? The only one I can think of that's popular is Norstrom, and even he's just a defensive defenseman who's lost a step. Meanwhile, most of our star players are Swedes. Oh well, for all we know this kid is another bust like Grigorenko was.
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted May 8, 2008 Oh well, he wouldn't have gotten the playing time he reportedly wanted so its probably best for both parties.

You'll see alot of him Mattias Norstrom - Everyone knows him Loui Eriksson - 3 goals this post-season. needs to pick it up a little Joel Lundqvist - The guy Kronwall is probably looking to murder. Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted May 8, 2008 Oh well, for all we know this kid is another bust like Grigorenko was. That's not fair, any guy that almost dies is not a bust, doy uo consider Jiri Fischer a bust to because of his incident?

I can't remember who on Dallas broke Kronwall's sacrum last year. Am I correct to assume it was Lundqvist? That being said, I highly doubt Kronner holds a grudge. It was a good clean hit with an unfortunate result for the Wings. Just an unlucky result.
seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted May 8, 2008 That's not fair, any guy that almost dies is not a bust, doy uo consider Jiri Fischer a bust to because of his incident? Uh, Grigorenko was absolutely a bust. The reasons why he was a bust may partially excuse it, but it doesn't mean he's not a bust.
DallasStars 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2008 Also competing with Sidney Crosby for the title of "Worst postseason facial hair" Indeed. As long as he lights the lamp, I can get over his pube face.
Nero 20 Report post Posted May 8, 2008 That's not fair, any guy that almost dies is not a bust, doy uo consider Jiri Fischer a bust to because of his incident? There's a difference between Grigorenko and Fischer. Fischer has heart problems. Grigorenko is no longer injured. He's lazy.
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted May 8, 2008 That's not fair, any guy that almost dies is not a bust, doy uo consider Jiri Fischer a bust to because of his incident? The accident part is comparable but thats about it. Jiri worked hard and did everything he could to play in the NHL, where as Grigs decided to eat cheeseburgers and demand playing time. Not really an apples to apples comparison.
Yc172 3 Report post Posted May 8, 2008 That's not fair, any guy that almost dies is not a bust, doy uo consider Jiri Fischer a bust to because of his incident? I think he was saying he was a bust because of how highly some people spoke of him even after the crash.
40#1Fan 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2008 http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article...BLOG09/80508071 General manager Ken Holland has been informed by unrestricted free agent Fabian Brunnstrom that he has not selected the Wings. The Wings wooed Brunnstrom last week as he toured also Dallas and Montreal, his three finalists. “I got a letter from Brunnstrom,” Holland just told me. “He said it was a hard decision to make, he just ultimately made a decision to go in another direction. I don’t really know anything more.” Brunnstrom opted, in the end, to go with Dallas

That being said, I highly doubt Kronner holds a grudge. It was a good clean hit with an unfortunate result for the Wings. Just an unlucky result. Yeah, it was Lundqvist. I doubt Kronwall will be head-hunting as well. Im sure he's more disciplined than that. Especially this time of year.

So the "near death" is what made him rival Langer for Cheeseburger consumption! Oddly Fischer is in MUCH BETTER shape than grigs was... and Grigs was trying to break into the NHL! The dude sucked ass in his time here... and with all the talking for god knows how long about how conditioned this kid was and yadda yadda yadda... YES, Grigs was a complete and utter failure..aka a bust
egroen 384 Report post Posted May 8, 2008 I had a feeling we would not be getting him. Especially after his comments about the city of Detroit -- let's face it, Novi (Little Sweden) is not exactly a hot draw for a young man making lots of money (as opposed to Dallas)... now if he were married with three kids, he's ours! This Finn we have a chance with intrigues me though.
