The other day Lidstrom said this Wings team is the absolute best he's ever played on *including the cup years* Nick speaks the truth. YES! Wings_Rule_1010 4 Report post Posted May 13, 2008 (edited) My sister and I were talking about how amazing it truly is to watch Datsyuk and Hank play. Not only are they the best two forwards on the team, they are top defensive forwards as well. While teams like Washington have Ovechkin as their top scorer, he is not a top defensive forward. I said at the beginning of this series that it wouldn't be even as hard as the Nashville series. Everyone knows it. Just superstitious and afraid to jinx the team. D-bags on versus again "Dallas has noone to blame but themselves" Yeah, except it might have had something to do with Z and D owning their sorry asses. They wore the Stars past the breaking point and now have a strangle hold on this series. Anyone else find it funny that most of the Stars injuries are coming from themselves? I agree...pitt cannot stop us. They play an unbalanced game, relying upon 2 or 3 forwards. They have an average d and goaler. They have not had to play against a machine like this before. It's funny, I'm looking at that ESPN Magazine with the Wings on the cover ("Code Red: Why The Wings Are The Best Team Ever") and thinking that this team could very well take over that standing. I think they meant that they can't say the wings won because of luck or reffing, it's just they're not good enough. The announcers were praising the wings pretty hardcore actually. (I mean right now, they can't say enough good things). At this point I think people are just looking for reasons to hate versus. They're not biased at all tonight.
