Donaldjr2448 43 Report post Posted May 13, 2008 That is amazing!! The other thing is that Franzen (the leading goal scorer with 12) has been out of our line up and yet we still dominate. Maybe we are deep!! Amagine if Pittsburgh lost Crosby or Malkin, they would probably be done! It just amazing that we lose the top goal scorer and still power on!! I don't mean to be a negative Nancy, but we have never won 10 straight games in team history! It seemed like when we won 9 straight this season, we followed it up with 3 or 4 loses. I just hope we don't fall into that again now!! lets finish them on wednesday!!!!! GO WINGS!!

GO WINGS!! nothing against franzen because he has been great and all and his goal streak is amazing but pittsburgh losing crosby or malkin would be like us losing datsyuk or zetterberg. Sure franzen has more goals but he is still nowhere near the calibur of player of pavs or hank. All the "oh wow, the wings can win without franzen?" articles are getting old. I love the guy and reallly hope he's ok but fact is, this is a team and he's not even one of the top 3 most important players on it, so to the fans and mostly the media, please stop the non sense. Yeah, losing the leading goal scorer in the playoffs is no biggie. We got this. (NOT being sarcastic or anything. I think the fact that what i said is true shows how awesome the wings are)
MississippiWing 14 Report post Posted May 13, 2008 The never winning ten games in a row thing bothers me as well as winning a long streak of games then dropping a few. Time to stop that.

Yzermania 156 Report post Posted May 13, 2008 And Franzen wasn't a guy we were expecting to lead the team in goals. It was a bonus for us to have him put 12 in. exactly! that's kind of my point. It's not as if it were a possible series clinching game for the cup with 30 seconds left, up by 1 and a faceoff in our defesive sone with the other teams goalie pulled that franzen would be out there. Dats, Z and Lids for surely would though (as would drapes and raffy) but that's all I was trying to say, it was nothing against the mule but we went pretty much the whole season without the franzen of these playoffs, I don't see it making a difference now. HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted May 13, 2008 Amazing! Btw, Ozzie broke a franchise record tonight with 9 straight wins in the post season. Roy has the record of 11 straight.
SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted May 13, 2008 I'm guessing it was all against Colorado? Yep, game 3 against Colorado for a brief time in the 1st period. Wings have been very impressive these last 2 series obviously, and I'm definitely feeling good about things, but the job isn't finished yet. I want them to finish this series Wednesday night, finish it ASAP to not give Dallas any more confidence than needed to get back in this series.
Vladiator 116 Report post Posted May 13, 2008 Amazing! Btw, Ozzie broke a franchise record tonight with 9 straight wins in the post season. Roy has the record of 11 straight. Would it not be great for Ozzie to break Roy's record. Yeah I know it was great to chase him into retirement but having Ozzie break that record would just be the icing on the cake (especially since they have gone toe to toe)
