yes this is a bummer...I would rather have him stay rested for the Finals though. I am confident we can pull off the sweep without him though. It might just not be another 8-2 blowout game like the game 4 of the Avs though.

Update from Tuesday's practice: Wings general manager Ken Holland said tests on Johan Franzen revealed "nothing significant'' and nothing bad. He still has headaches and concussion-like symptoms -- the club still is not officically calling it a concussion -- and will not play in Game 4 at Dallas Wednesday. Holland said there's still a chance Franzen will play in this series, if it gets extended. He is not allowed to do any physical activity for now.

well supposedly he wasnt dizzy or anything, he only got head aches. usually when u get concussed you'll get dizzy just when working out and things along those lines. i certainly cant see him playing after recieving a concussion if he was having alot of symptoms.

kinda weird how he got slashed at the end of game 1 tho then i dont think he was out to congradulate ozzie. although they wouldnt go all through the trouble of saying its concussion symtoms if it was a slash say on the wrsit. he also would probably be practicing to stay in shape.

I still don't like the sound of it,I mean yeah we are pretty deep without Franzen but in my opinion he will be HUGE for us in the next round.We are just sooo DEEP with him on the 2nd line,and if he won't be ready to play that will be really disappointing.I just don't think they are telling us everything.

Yeah, we seem to be okay without him, btu it's like the Powell Doctrine. Whenever possible use overwhelming force! Winning or not we NEED Franzen back for the next round! I think both Dats and Z can outdo Malkin and Crosby defensively, and I don't think the East has any good defensive teams so they're probably not used to playing the likes of ours, and I think Franzen can surpass Hossa as a threat, thus giving the Wings the depth edge.

I don't care if everyone on their team has scored at least once, I still feel we're deeper.

My money's on a mild concussion. If it's looking like he'll be back for the SCF, management obviously wouldn't want this problem known, as all it'd take is one shot to the head to knock Mule out for the postseason -- and sorry, but the Pens aren't above that.
