last night was interesting:

and this one, made with Vietnamese coffee harvested from weasel poo

needless to say the two Mikkeller beers were awesome, and the olympia incredibly poor (though for a macro lager, once you are buzzed it is probably the most unoffensive one)

Last night at the bar had a few Bud Lights. A nice beer for drinking in bars and for hot days and such, but seriously, its basically just carbonated water. Next to no taste at all.

it tastes like if you soaked a corn cob in mineral water to me

Just tried Jolly Pumpkin for the first time a week or so ago! Let's see...I had the Oro de Calabaza. Goooood stuff!! A little sweet but not too sweet, and just generally pleasant and drinkable. I wish I could be more specific, but I'm a horrible reviewer. Found out about it by looking at Hamilton's (place here in San Diego - they've got a million beers, and they might even have hockey...gotta wait and see when the season starts; if so, I have a new home) beer list for something from MI (I like supporting your economy) and found that. So glad I did! I think it's pretty much my new beer of choice. Please tell me they have it at BevMo...

Samuel Adams Octoberfest is now officially my second favorite beer behind Boston Lager.

If you dig on their lager, you really should pick up one of their special glasses. To me, their BL is a decent beer. In their glass, BL turns into a top quality beer. Seriously, drop the coin (IIRC, 4 for $20) on it and step it up a notch. Let me know if they are no longer available, I'll send you one of mine.

Whoa, that is an awesome website - thanks! I have to be honest, I don't get down to Imperial Beach that much, but I'm sure I'll find somewhere that has it from that list, so that's still majorly helpful. Just when Facebook has you convinced that the Internet has gone down the tubes, somebody comes up with something great like this - THIS is what they invented technology for!

I actually just picked up a set of 4. I can definitely tell a bit of a difference between the Sam Adams glass and a regular pint glass. The carbonation is crazy, which I have a thing for. I like how it also stays cooler a bit longer. Thanks for the offer, though!

Great beer. How are you getting it in Chicago ? I have to order it online out of California to get it here in Texas. I ordered 6 and they were gone quick.

i traded for it with a guy in SJ. I actually got it for free as an extra in the trade, I actually traded him some New Glarus for RR Consecration and Supplication
