TheCaptain19 49 Report post Posted May 24, 2008 good. i think that its funny that because so many people are taking the "underdog" approach, WE are actually becoming the underdog as far as expectations. if that makes sense.. aha
Guest DetroitBoy313 Report post Posted May 24, 2008 Last spring, Maggie went 8-7, selecting the Senators to beat the Ducks in the Stanley Cup Final. If that makes anyone feel better.....
Yemack 1 Report post Posted May 24, 2008 As much as I would like to think this whole thing is just monkey picking a winner, I find myself caring about who she picks.

10 Minute Misconduct 104 Report post Posted May 24, 2008 Most of the people that i've heard from are actually picking the Wings. Al Strachan (Wings in 4) Steve Ludzig (Wings in 7) Mike Milbury (Wings in 6) Bob McKenzie (Wings in 6) Don Cherry Berry Melrose (Wings in 6) Sportsnet (Wings in 7) I know im missing some @_@ ESPN is actually 50/50 on Wings and Pens. I was reading on a Pens form and there was about 10 people in a row that picked the Wings oh ya, JR picked Wings in 5, and Sakku Koivu picked the Wings on the NHL Network. 10 Minute Misconduct 104 Report post Posted May 24, 2008 Grapes seems to have an uncanny ability to pick winners; I remember back in 2002 he picked the Wings when they faced the Blues (he was impressed with the Wings composure when some of the Blues got a little nasty, & it was this reason why he felt the Red Wings would win it all). he does pick winner. he picked anaheim last year before the playoffs, when tampa beat calgary he picked them too. im not sure if he picked carolina the year they won it tho. HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted May 24, 2008 Well, Cherry picked the Sharks before the season started. It's when they got knocked out that he turned to the Wings. lol
Shaman 713 Report post Posted May 24, 2008 Ms Maggie is good for the first 3 rounds but i believe she is 0-3 for the SCF, she cant pick Stanley cup winners.

RainingBlood 8 Report post Posted May 24, 2008 man Milbury was a s***ty gm, but he loves the redwings. He has picked them all post season and has really nothing bad to say about them, give that man a jersey.

va Winger 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2008 Yeah, I am placing all my hopes on the pick of a freakin monkey ! I wonder what else this primate is good @ picking, besides his arse and the fleas and ticks of his own kind (light snack). This time of year it's very difficult to know who will show up . Certainly you gotta like our chances, and I have to agree with Babcock's statement yesterday in responding to the losses to Dallas. Not a direct quote, but he said something to the effect that those losses were very important to the team. They caused us to refocus and realize that without the effort and drive on every shift for every minute of every game, we too can be beaten.........Not to mention the fact that it knocked us off our High Horse and brought us back to reality..................I have said since the onset of the playoffs that we are the team to beat................I am confident that " all will be Great in Hockeytown". chrisdetroit 189 Report post Posted May 24, 2008 Uh oh? lol http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=11430 The Wings are getting no love with picks thus far. Be it ESPN or TSN. I actually prefer it that way. I wouldn't sweat it Maggie is only 8-6 so far. Even a monkey could... wait a minute... In all seriousness though, most of the talking heads are Canadian. Sydney is an absolute god in Canada and there is no way that most of the talking heads are going to pick against him. Combine that with the fact that Lids is going to be the first European Captain to win the cup and well you can image that there are going to be some pissed off Canadians next week. WIngs in 5 and Don Cherry has an anuerism and his head explodes on national tv.
