NHLrules? 32 Report post Posted June 1, 2008 This game no longer resembles the sport I grew up loving. This has become a game dominated by a greedy group of owners. A league headed by a lawyer dressed in a clown suit. Tonight was a shining example of how this league works. You whine and show up the officials and the league cowers and obeys. They have their annointed one. How many times were the wings interfered with tonight? The penguins goal (according to the rule as seen in this series) should have been waved off (after all, the guys stick interfered with Ozzie). Tackling sumo etc after the wings took the lead. Crosby ***** antics after the game is over. This is no longer hockey this is some *** s*** on ice that looks like hockey, but is not hockey. I love the Wings, but Im done with the NHL. f*** these guys.

C-Dub 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2008 There is some truth to what you are saying, but man, it's a bit exaggerated, don't ya think?
RainingBlood 8 Report post Posted June 1, 2008 Well I don't blame him for his frustrations. It wasn't like this 5 years ago. It happens everywhere. The wings were lucky they were not called for more. Stop the bitching and enjoy the sport. The redwings are 1 win from the stanley cup, when some people were posting in game 4 of the nashville series that the wings wouldnt get past the 1st round. evil204 4 Report post Posted June 1, 2008 (edited) Eh..can't you at least wait until after Monday? I hate it too, but at least it's not as bad as the NBA :-P Edited June 1, 2008 by evil204
Guest EZBAKETHAGANGSTA Report post Posted June 1, 2008 hahaha the wings are 1 win from the stanley cup and this ******* is crying. you must be new. I gurantee you after the seasons over and we've won the cup people will be begging for a major rehaul to a cup winning roster because (insert reason such as osgood is not good enough, were not tough enough, were too old, here)
MississippiWing 14 Report post Posted June 1, 2008 there is validity in some of those statements. I have noticed this series every coach that has complained has gotten more calls related to what he complained about to the next game. I think we can all agree that anyone that touches Crosby will be screwed. Why do you think the Maple Leafs didn't make the playoffs. They put him out for over a month. I kid I kid. NHLrules? 32 Report post Posted June 1, 2008 A 5 on 3 with less than 10 left in the game in the SCF? How many times this game was Ozzie run into? How many times did this result in a penalty? This league is a joke.
Rice 42 Report post Posted June 1, 2008 I'll say the same thing I said to the people who were calling a first round exit on the trade deadline: See you later. No one cares.

Mule Train 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2008 Well I don't blame him for his frustrations. It wasn't like this 5 years ago. I don't know...a lot of us were bitching pretty vociferously about the obstruction and crybaby crap going on then too. Remember what a total tool Marcie Crawford was? Turtle-boy Claudia? Was there ever a bigger cryer than Peter the Jake Forsberg? Douchebaggery didn't just start in the league this season; it's been around a long time.
dicksmack 33 Report post Posted June 1, 2008 That WAS a sad display of trying to give Cindy every chance... but hey, if we didn't have the superior players that we do...we wouldn't have come out on top. It just shows that Hank and Pav are the two best forwards in the game. a lot of people would have been livid with a chinsy five on three and rightfully so. I saw it happen to BBall and saw how the NHL resisted but the end is near. The last few years have been crazy, and I dont feel this league has any integrity left. Yeah im frustrated, but Im just done with it all. Too much time invested in this.
poxer 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2008 I'll agree this isn't the hockey that I grew up watching but the fact remains. Wings are still dominating even though the Pens have been given every shot to come back. 5 on 3 and Z still has a chance to score? The joke is on the Pens. Selke13 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2008 agreed. i have been complaining about all the calls (or non calls) on the ice. sometimes it is hard to watch. it also sucks that every intermission of the games turns into the "'So, just how good is Sid the *****?' Show" annoyed me so much i put on womens softball

I would pay real money for a filter that selectively cancels out Pee Air's voice and lets me enjoy just the crowd sounds of the game.

Some of the changes have been great and some... well... not so great but I will always watch hockey.
