This is complete horses**t....I could expect this kind of crap to be pulled by a channel like ESPN or even another network like CBS or ABC but for the love of god....It is a slap in the face to the NHL when the very same network that has your national broadcast only gives them some stupid skit...

Now whoever wins the f**king NBA Finals will probably get a whole freaking show on them from all three networks. (Yeah it's because of the NBA>NHL)

I think some people are taking this a bit too serious. We won the Cup but Lids and Ozzie aren't the center of the universe...most people prolly don't know who they are...well now a few more do I thought it was cute and funny...the guys probably were rolling their eyes a bit on the inside but I bet they had fun and it was a rush and a laugh for them to do.

I was surprised to hear Nick was going to fly all the way to LA just for that - especially considering he has to be in Toronto to pick up more hardward on Thursday. Guess it's a tradition to have the captain on the Tonight Show with the Cup. Should have sent someone else since most people won't know the difference anyways.

I agree on Huds! Load him up with a few drinks and ship him off to LA!

Who is Carson Daley and when does his show air?? Never heard of him but suspect it will make Youtube anyways...

All I care about is that NBC acknowledged that the NHL is a sport on their biggest stage. Ozzie and Lids are the faces of the team and they played along like they should.

I thought it was pretty cheesy, but all in good fun and good for a chuckle. Athletes are typically rancid in acting roles so it was refreshing to see them act silly and have some fun with their place on the show.

Whyyyy do you have an secondary actress that nobody cares about from a movie that's three weeks old on, but not two athletes from a well-loved sports franchise that just won a championship?

Jay Leno's never been funny, but now I've got another reason to never, ever watch his show again.

And likewise, Local 4 news showed a clip at the end of their show of Osgood and Lidstrom in the studio with the cup, talking -- meaning they had recorded a segment with them, but chose not to air it.
