Zetterberg named TSN's Player of the Year

just imagine if z is healthy all year. before he got hurt last year his production was unreal (not that it wasn't great when he came back, but it seemed to slow him down a bit).

That's what I always think about. He still has great numbers but he'd probably be top three in scoring if he was completely healthy the last two years. Still, great to see the recognition start to show up.

Z is my first pick in every hockey pool i join regular season or playoffs, then datsyuk then i go for the AO's and crosby's :)

and i won the 1 playoff pool i was in this year with this team: (10 people draft style, i got pick 2 then pick 19, 22..etc

Zetterberg

lidstrom

heatley(ott)

rafalski

holmstrom

markov (mon)

franzen

filppula

fedorov (was)

hasek

sadly datsyuk was taken i think 14th overall and was the only other redwing picked..and i got laughed at the entire time i was making picks now i ama couple hundred bucks richer so haha :)

Who did that? He was definitely top 10. You shouldn't have been laughed at for saying top 5.

He was pretty universally ranked between 15th and 25th in the thread in question. Only a few dared to place him outside those bounds. Most of the posters who posted in it said there was no way Z could be as good as guys like Heatley, Iginla, or Lecavalier.

Was shocked it wasnt Ovechkin. Not that Zetterberg doesnt deserve it, because he does. I was surprised because it was TSN and they didnt take the sexy pick, they actually picked the guy that earned it.

The pick was based on Regular and *Postseason* play. I'm sure thats what tipped the scale in Z's favor.
