DreamsofHope 2 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 Once again Dino Ciccarelli gets the shaft.... I know that is pretty disappointing... I agree. But it would be more disappointing if neither of them made it in!

DatsMyWings13 4 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 Once again Dino Ciccarelli gets the shaft.... I don't really believe that he belongs in the hall of fame. I thought he was a very good player and a fan favorite but not hall of fame material. Just my opinion though.
egroen 384 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 (edited) Oops... skipped right over the quote and misread the post. Apologies... Edited June 17, 2008 by egroen
DatsMyWings13 4 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 It is the HOCKEY Hall of Fame, not the NHL Hall of Fame, and Igor definitely deserves to be in it. The KLM line was one of the greatest and most feared lines ever assembled. Try reading my whole post next time, that was in reference to Dino Ciccarelli. In regards to larionov I posted "Congrats to Larionov!!!! It's very well deserved, should of happened the 1st time"

Opie 308 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 I don't really believe that he belongs in the hall of fame. I thought he was a very good player and a fan favorite but not hall of fame material. Just my opinion though. Agreed, and please note that this is in reference to Dino not Igor. Dino was a great Red Wing and the fans love him, he was not HOF material, IMHO!! But the professor on the other hand: CONGRATS!!!!! Well deserved, like posted by another, the KLM line was one of, if not the most vaunted line in Hockey history! This line was a machine, just nasty! And they had a ferocious blue line behind them! The question is do any of the other two make it?
po-GoWings 1 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 dino and pat verbeek are the only members of the 500+ goal club not in the hall. let alone 592 goals like dino.
egroen 384 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 (edited) The question is do any of the other two make it? They both deserve it, and I really hope Makarov gets in soon... obviously not next year though (huge class -- Yzerman, Hull, Robitaille, Leetch). Took Kharlamov about 25 years to get in. puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 Awesome news... and so well deserved. I loved Igor as a Wing and on other teams, as well. Ray Scapinello also deserves the honor....he was probably my favorite on-ice official. Scampi wasn't afraid of much, was he??
