FinRedWing 172 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 and according to the Hawks GM, he wants to keep both goalies. I wonder who they plan on getting rid of... Someone who's lazy and he sucks?
Hank 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 It's official. Chicago is now going to be one of my favorite teams to watch this year. I loved watching them this past season but my man-crush has soared after this signing. Savard was on XM recently and he spoke about how he loved letting his horses run. If he keeps that mantra, Chicago fans will have a very entertaining year coming up.
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 (edited) That salary is disgusting. Campbell is, at best, a 4-5 million dollar player. He's extremely overrated, and you'd think that, given his terrible playoff performance with the Sharks last season, he wouldn't get paid that much money. On the other side of things, Chicago is looking pretty good for next season. Edited July 1, 2008 by Kp-Wings

Turkey 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 'Bulin certainly needs to be moved but I think they should move Havlat too. He's hurt far too much for a guy with his paycheck.
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 ha thats great! But seriously, hawks are going to be a pain for us. Heck, they already were. They were a pain for us cause we never took them seriously. I wouldnt be surprised if we have a better record against them this year than last.
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 lemme correct the original one: someone who is lazy and he sucks is there any doubt now? Hehe, no, I picked up on the original joke. Having him on this team has given all of us great comedic material for years and years to come. In fact, whatever happened to the original "lazy and sucks" topic? That should've been pinned for all future members to see.

StevieY9802 6 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 8 years at 7.1 per? What the hell? These GM's and owners are stupid. Sucks he's coming to the central but whatever. Huet at 5.6. Maguire on TSN today made a good point. Marty Broduer makes less than that. The Vezina Trophy winner. Gimme a break.

shannyfan1414 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 Never did see this one coming. I spent last weekend in Buffalo and all the locals were talking about getting him back. That they were working out all the young guys they have to make sure they are ready to play and then they wouldn't have to spend big money on other players. Chicago just got a little better. Nice move.

StevieY9802 6 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 Lidstrom now only makes 350k more than Campbell. how many Norris' does Campbell have? oh yeah none.
SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 With this signing as well as Huet, two huge overpayments I think. That being said though, he will improve Chicago's defense, and goof for Campbell for being able to get that much money on the open market.
BlackhawksFan 4 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 The right player was signed, for too much and much too long. Dale Tallon is clinically insane if he doesn't trade Khabibulin. What's with these crazy contracts? The best example of a team that doesn't follow this is...Detroit.
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 Lidstrom now only makes 350k more than Campbell. how many Norris' does Campbell have? oh yeah none. Funny thing is there are only two Dman making more than Campbell right now. And both were Norris candidates this year.
