GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted July 6, 2008 Yes, he will.
Superman54 91 Report post Posted July 6, 2008 (edited) Its Lidstrom, of course the guy will. Hell, even if he could only play one game in the entire season he would still somehow reach 62. Edited July 6, 2008 by Superman54
Phazon 24 Report post Posted July 6, 2008 1000p for defenseman today is a pretty big deal. That will be a special night
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted July 6, 2008 Hoping he does, but I'd say 50/50. He's achieved more points lately, but not 62+ consistently enough. Seems if he even has a semi-usual year in plus/minus, he will reach +400.

Reds4Life 51 Report post Posted July 6, 2008 I hope he will. He posted 70 points in 76 games this year so there is pretty good chance he will make it
PaVel DaTsYuK fan13 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2008 The wings powerplay is going to be awesome next year, and think will score about 65 points en route to another norris.
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted July 6, 2008 Hoping he does, but I'd say 50/50. He's achieved more points lately, but not 62+ consistently enough. Seems if he even has a semi-usual year in plus/minus, he will reach +400. Hes reached that mark 4 out of the 5 past years. He had 70 this year in his shortest season ever played (excluding 94/95 of course). I might agree with you, but having Rafalski as an impressive right-handed complement should make it easy for him to snag 62+
puertoricanWingsfan 5 Report post Posted July 6, 2008 A European Captain will never reach that goal.
DaKineMaui 8 Report post Posted July 6, 2008 I think he'll reach 1000 beautiful outlet passes on breakouts, right on the tape, and 1000 well timed pokechecks in the slot in next year alone.
octopusonice 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2008 He should be able to make it
Andy Pred 48 337 Report post Posted July 6, 2008 Here's a more arguble one, who will be the leading point scorer on D? Lids will hit the 1000 mark next season.
BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted July 7, 2008 I honestly think he'll end the season at 1000 points.
Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted July 7, 2008 He should be able to hit that mark without too much of a problem. He put up more points last year, and that was with an injury that sidelined him throughout February, and with Hossa on the team this year (regardless of whether he's a 1st liner or 2nd liner), our offensive numbers as a whole should be higher than last year's, and Lidstrom will definitely see his share of the points. Guest Crymson Report post Posted July 7, 2008 Hoping he does, but I'd say 50/50. He's achieved more points lately, but not 62+ consistently enough. BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted July 7, 2008 Here's a more arguble one, who will be the leading point scorer on D? Lids will hit the 1000 mark next season. Mike Green, Dion Phaneuf, Scott Niedermayer, Sergei Gonchar, Chris Pronger, Zdeno Chara, and even Rafalski can all be possibilities to be leading point getters... But it's undisputable to predict Lidstrom as the favourite.
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted July 7, 2008 (edited) Since the lockout, he has done extremely well in the points department. True, but not consistently enough over his career for me to call him a lock for 1,000 points this next season. Edited July 7, 2008 by Shoreline
Guest Four Report post Posted July 7, 2008 I say he hits in at 73 games.
