Guest Four Report post Posted July 8, 2008 Well, I got an idea from the ayhoo power rankings, why don't we create our own rankings and by next season we can compare. A little early, yes, but you can always edit. My list: Detroit Red Wings San Jose Sharks Dallas Stars Chicago Blackhawks Philadelphia Flyers Pittsburgh Penguins Montreal Canadians New Jersey Devils Anaheim Ducks New York Rangers Minnesota Wild Calgary Flames Washington Capitals Boston Bruins Colorado Avalanche Tampa Bay Lightning Ottawa Senators Nashville Predators Phoenix Coyotes Buffalo Sabres Edmonton Oilers Carolina Hurricanes Columbus Blue Jackets St. Louis Blues Atlanta Thrashers Vancouver Canucks New York Islanders Los Angeles Kings Florida Panthers Toronto Maple Leafs

stud_defenseman 1 Report post Posted July 8, 2008 (edited) Who knows if Tavares will even be the number 1 pick come next years draft. I live in Oshawa and have seen Tavares play many times. He certainly was not as good this year as he was the year before. Even though he is at this point by far the most skilled player, I have begun to question his work ethic a little. He is not that great of a skater, but his hands are phenomenal. If the leafs were able to draft him I bet he would be a bust as they cannot develop players worth a s***. awingsincebirth 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2008 I'm definitely loving all this Leaf hate, but, I think Vesa Toskala alone will keep this team from being one of the 5 worst teams in the league, and if Sundin comes back, they'll fare even better (and by better, I mean worse, given what they are/should be trying to do)

arnoldbuck 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2008 Rather surprising how far down Chicago fairs on your list.. Switch Edmonton & Chicago and it looks good to me xD You cant switch Edmonton and Chicago. The top 3 seeds go to division winners, and Chicago is in our division. So best case scenario for them is to get fourth.

Earthhuman 8 Report post Posted July 9, 2008 [9]Columbus Blue Jackets This is absolute best case scenario. This is a team of second/third- pairing defensemen, Umberger as a first line center. There's not much there.

BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted July 9, 2008 Playoff teams only for me... By actual rankings, not divisional rankings... Divisional rankings would probably make a difference in the top 8 standings, but I can't see it effecting the playoff teams, so with that said... West 1. Wings 2. Stars 3. Sharks 4. Hawks 5. Wild 6. Ducks 7. Flames 8. Coyotes East 1. Rangers 2. Pens 3. Habs 4. Flyers 5. Lightning 6. Caps 7. Bruins 8. Sens The Panthers and Kings will be last place in their respective conferences.
