TaP 1 Report post Posted July 20, 2008 http://www.stubhub.com/chicago-blackhawks-...-1-2009-672761/ Seems a little pricey. Wrigley is pretty close to me so I really want to go. Maybe the tickets will drop in price within the next 5 months? Maybe not...what do you think?

octopusonice 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2008 I'm confused. I thought StubHub was a place where people who had tickets could make them available to the public, and I thought these tickets were not yet for sale. Is this game available to Blackhawks season ticket holders? Does StubHub also act as a ticket broker?
TaP 1 Report post Posted July 20, 2008 Blackhawks and Cubs season ticket holders will get first pick. Then I believe Detroit gets 5000 tickets out of around 41,000. So I am not sure where these tickets are coming from already. http://blog.mlive.com/snapshots/2008/07/wi...ckets_expe.html How much were the tickets for the retirement of #19 game? YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted July 21, 2008 Cubs season ticket holders get first pick over Wings fans? Remind me why the Wings players and organization should be supporting Chicagos economy, hockey, and baseball clubs by playing in this thing again? The Red Wings get enough National coverage as it is. Now they're just being used as a puppet to attract the casual viewer to the NHL, and the Blackhawks in particular. There should be 20,500 tickets made first available to Wings fans, and if after a certain date they aren't all bought up then they can go to Hawks and Cubs fans, and then whoever else wants them after that. I doubt Wings fans would snap up that many tickets, but at least give them the chance to..
Booster313 138 Report post Posted July 21, 2008 Stub Hub is a peer to peer ticket sharing service. Therefore anyone can sign up and set the price at whatever they like. The tickets there now aren't yet available. People are selling them based on anticipation that they will be getting them. Keep in mind that many of them are probably season ticket holders who've already been guaranteed a certain number of seats.

Guest Shoreline Report post Posted July 21, 2008 I'll be in Greece for New Years and just hoping they'll even have any channel to watch the classic game on. Or considering Center Ice online, if it'll let me log in from overseas.

omnipotent_hudler 0 Report post Posted July 21, 2008 hey jee guys lets place probably the most popular winter classic ever at wrigley with 41,000 seats instead of the big house with 100,
SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted July 21, 2008 hey jee guys lets place probably the most popular winter classic ever at wrigley with 41,000 seats instead of the big house with 100,000 Wrigley Field is a solid historical stadium. Yeah yeah I know, so is the Big House........... And it's not just an all about Detroit or all about Red Wings thing. It's about the Chicago Blackhawks as well. And it is about the NHL as well. Why the sense of entitlement or thought that the Detroit area "deserves" this game? Anyways, as much as I like attending sporting events live, I'm a cheap skate more often than not. I don't care what the event is, I'm not dishing out $100+ bucks to see a game live.

Cicada 4 Report post Posted July 21, 2008 the problem i see it is that Wrigley REALLY isn't a good place. 41,000 seats. you gotta figure 20,000 of them are going to have a s***ty view. Especially the bleacher seats and lower tier. i'd much prefer to watch it on TV if i could.
