It's not just Hossa that we "wet ourselves" over, it's the fact that we have 3 of the best 15 forwards in the NHL in our lineup that makes us "wet ourselves." It's carazy how people can like more than 2 players on a team huh? Sorry for being excited about a new star player and ordering a ******* t-shirt for f***s sake. He is one of the better forwards in the game today. I think people's excitement towards acquiring such a player in the offseason, especially when it was going to be very hard to get such a guy in all likelihood, is more than justified and fair. Zetterberg and Datsyuk are better than ANYONE he has played with yet! Look how good he did while playing with Crosby and that was for a very little time, he will be playing ALL SEASON with these guys, not to mention argueably the best starting 4 defensmen in the league to get him the puck as well! Wouldn't be surprised to see 50 from him this year if not more, but then again, with our sread out scoring, he could only net 30, but on this team 30-40 is pretty much leading the team, so, I expect him to lead the team in one way or another... ...we'll really wet ourselves if he works out, helps win us another Cup and THEN re-signs here for Franzen type money! But in my own head, I have come to the conclusion that I will not buy a shirt or a jersey as I was previously pondering. If he was signed longer than a year, I would probably be all over it. So if this guy stuicks around, then yeah I will buy something with his name on it. I know he is not a rental player, but a 1 year contract isn't more than temporary, imo. I can't help but laugh at the Penguin fans who ran out and bought an authentic HOSSA jersey when he was acquired. And then he totally gave them the shaft. The difference, I suppose, is that Hossa produced with a terrible team (the Thrashers) for several years; Fedorov has yet to produce at all with a non all-star cast around him. Hahahah. Good way to stir the pot. I agree with you but there are lots of people on here worshiping Hossa. You know who Hosa is - the guy that until last year disappeared in the playoffs. I'm reserving judgement until he has his second sucessful playoff. Hopefully it will be in 2009 but there are lots of guys that only had 1 good playoff year......... I hope you are right but before last year Hossa was know as a guy that couldn't get it done in the playoffs and even though playing on some very good Ottawa teams throughout his career, has never been able to get his name on the big shiny silver thing.
