betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 I've never understood the near-universal appeal of the vintage Sabres logo. Personally I think it looks hideous. The Blues 3rd looks pretty cool, though the logo is a bit samey to the Wild's. It's not hideous, I think, just lame. The Blues jersey is nice there but the problem is that the ring-around-the-logo thing is becoming the latest trend, and it's gonna make everyone look like cookie-cutouts if it keeps growing. Shutemdown 23 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 both nice. not fancy, slim, simple. I'd get rid of the arch in Blues logo but it's still OK despite. I actually liked the Arch in the Blues' logo. Besides that, their jerseys are the most basic jerseys ever... at least the Arch makes sense and is a city landmark.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 Would have been hilarious had they done a tribute to their former alternate sweaters
Williams29fan 6 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 I like the retro look for buffalo. I don't know what it is about the blue's third... i just don't like them. They also remind me of Nashville's.
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 I still can't get over the lace up AND the NHL logo on the neck line... One or the other designers... now it just a fake lace up and thats silly
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 I really like the Blues thirds and the Buffalo logo is classic. The rest of it is a little too busy for my taste but you gotta love the logo. Some other teams should take some notes from these two.
blues_demitra38 11 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 Would have been hilarious had they done a tribute to their former alternate sweaters Hey, they never wore those thanks to a last minute veto by Mike Keenan.
Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 I like the Blue's third jerseys, but am impartial to the Sabre's third jersey.
Yzerfan1999 81 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 I like the Blues new design for their crest, but the colours remind me too much of Nashville Preds jerseys. The Blue is too dark - kind of like the old Edmonton 3rds, and I bet they look almost black on TV.
Donaldjr2448 43 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 Well..... I guess there is only so much you can do with the Blues jersey anyway, but I have always liked the Sabres Jersey's. I heard from a Buffalo fan (no pun intended) that the reason they changed their jerseys a couple of years ago was because of a contract dispute with the person that designed the jersey that they wore when Dallas beat them in 1999 Finals. The team had to hurry and have someone make a new design because they couldn't use the vintage one in time!! Thats what I heard anyway!!
Cern 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 it's gonna make everyone look like cookie-cutouts if it keeps growing. That already happened, it's called the EDGE jersey system. You can fit just about every team's jersey into about four or five templates.
auxlepli 17 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 (edited) I still can't get over the lace up AND the NHL logo on the neck line... One or the other designers... now it just a fake lace up and thats silly I thought the same two, but look at Kariya's photo. The NHL logo has disappeared! Gary Bettman won't be happy about that.
