The person below me game...

I love having a job. I do not love the job... or should I say, it does not love me. I work in a difficult industry (telecomm) with difficult people, managing technical issues which few now understand because the core intelligence of most major carriers has been gutted by layoffs -- so the profits can go to CEOs and shareholders.

I go to virtual "war" every single day to get anything accomplished. If you have the opposite situation and things are wonderful where you are, I applaud you. Be grateful.

Very sorry to those here who do not have employment right now. That is worse than being where I am, for sure.

The person below me misses hockey. :(

that's sort of what I meant, too. I barely have time to do work, take care of house, and get other stuff done, so when the questions veer into geek talk and high end electronics and other things foreign to me, for whatever reason, I just leave the thread until someone who has the energy to be conversant (or even aware) of such things, answers.

The person below me is sometimes stymied for interesting questions, as well as answers.

How's that for a cop-out? :D

Oh, frequently.

The person below me wishes people would keep their mouths shut when commenting on a flaw (such as a pimple) that one can not change and is not important in the grand scheme of things.

Have you met my boss? Apparently, you have. Yes, it's incredibly annoying when you have to deal with people who have no concept of the big picture or how details figure into the outcome.

The person below me wishes they could go on a real vacation sometime. If you've been somewhere fabulous lately, good for you. Some of us are just wishing....

Yea that would be nice, but unfortunately debt prevents that.

TPBM is wishing they were out on the lake right now.

Same here.

I wish we still had lakes here. Two and a half years of sustained drought and 100+ degree temps for months on end has led to the closing of our big recreational lake, due to ... well, no water? It's more than 30 feet lower than it should be, i.e. a big puddle now. :(

The person below me wants/needs to win the lottery.

Yes. If I won the lottery I would build you a lake... after I payed off a TON of crap.

TPBM is now dreading going home from work.

aww, thanks!! :) Why are you dreading going home? Hope things are OK. I am not dreading going home, I can't wait. First I have to go to the gym and work out with my trainer. I am dreading the leg press... my thighs feel like they've been shredded.

But they look good.

The person below me is going to have something really yummy for dinner tonight!

I like apples, but I don't know one from another except that I like red, and yellow are ok, and I'm not fond of green.

The person below me has a microwave with the old dial rather than the touch pad.

Long story, pretty much had a fight waiting for me at home. Not a good day. I would of loved to go to the gym yesterday, I dread leg press. I hate doing leg workouts. Today is back/shoulders!!!

I have a touch pad microwave. And apparently its on some super high setting that turns frozen dinners into steam bombs.

TPBM is goin to the kid rock concert this weekend.

I'm nowhere near Kid Rock, which is fine with me. Not a fan. Not that I hate him or anything, just not interested.

The person below me sometimes gets a lot accomplished by avoiding something else that's even less pleasant.

you mean like going shopping for household needs, when you have homework due the next day that is undone? Yeah I'm a believer.

The person below me is not going on vacation this summer.

I am not going on a vacation except for the 2 hour away trip to see mom and sister.

I sing constantly. I usually only do it in places where no one can hear or places where it is socially acceptable. I'm not the one wandering through the small appliances at Walmart singing "Sunrise, Sunset". That was my dad. Yes, he actually did that. Loudly.

The person below me enjoys the peaches the most out of all the fruits in the can of Fruit Cocktail.
