Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted August 17, 2010 Not at all. Most of it comes from the fact that I'm allergic to them, but I'm generally a dog person. The person below me has a dog.
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted August 17, 2010 No, but I have had dogs. I love them, but with my work schedule I would not be a good owner. The person below me is in possession of a lottery ticket for an upcoming drawing.
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted August 17, 2010 no, I need to get one, though. It would solve a lot of issues for me to have some money. The person below me thinks all the personal media (iphone, ipod, ipad, i-am-a-jerk-with-an-expensive-toy) is making people ruder by the day.
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted August 17, 2010 I don't know about ruder, but they are far less aware of their surroundings and the people near them. Ruder by subtraction, perhaps. They ignore you when they shouldn't. If someone comes up to the counter on a phone or texting. I stand and wait for them to finish or ask the person they're talking to to "hold on" before I wait on them. If they are paying attention to me, but listening half-heartedly to the person on the phone, then I go ahead with the transaction. These devices are certainly making people socially stupider. The person below me bleeds a lot when they scrape themselves.

puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted August 18, 2010 No. Is it fun? I've never done anything irresponsible on purpose. I admit it's tempting to throw caution to the winds and do what I feel like doing -- except I have to clean up my own messes, so I prolly won't.
