55fan 5,133 Report post Posted August 22, 2010 Only the first one, and they changed so much from the book that I never saw another. Some changes I understand- shorten the film, ease of filming, don't have the technology, etc.- but when Hagrid said that he bought Fluffy from an Irishman, that was WTF? In the book he bought him from a Greek, which makes sense since it is a creature from Greek mythology. Why Irishman? That blew the whole thing for me. No more movies. Just the books. Warner Brothers turned out some good stuff. The person below me remembers the first time they went to a movie theater with their mommy or daddy. edit: I am so old, they showed WB cartoons before the feature, instead of 40 minutes of blaring, obnoxious, blatant commercials for upcoming movies.
