This game is why I have said before (last season and season before last) that the NHL is a COMPLETE JOKE!! the Wings got called for penalties they deserved but Anaheim gets away with hooking ( against Sammy) blow to the Head and interference ( by Pronger) and then Marchant DIVES ona Zetterberg check!!! that was the last straw!! I thought , until the High Stick goal--WTF is replay for!!! NHL IS A CRAP LEAGUE!!

I didn't see anything definitive in that replay.

I did, it was above the cross bar. Hell, even the duck announcer called it over the cross bar.

Babs really needs to concentrate on working out the defence. I don't really know what needs to be done. They have a stellar defence, yet always seem to make terrible plays this year. Did Lebda even play tonight? He's gotta go.

Osgood played a good game and made a lot of big saves, it's a shame that he really got screwed over tonight. 3 unsavable PP goals, 1 good goal, and the last one with the (maybe) high stick.

The officiating has been bad but the Wings are playing such atrocious defense that focusing on the whistles is missing the point. The team needs a serious wake-up call and I don't think they've gotten it yet. It will take a couple regulation losses in a row before it really hits home. Blowing multiple goal leads in the 3rd period again and again is not the sign of a disciplined, passionate team.

quit blaming the refs, the wings lost okay? it was a good game but we lost. if they want to call a goal back under review it needs to be conclusive and that one was not CONCLUSIVE. in my opinion it was high but were talking a half inch which obviously cant be called conclusive.

agreed. amazing though how the wings always score that last minute goal this year. this year the wings are winning games they dont deserve to because of brief flashes of excellent play buried under 50 minutes of garbage, its a good sign though that they can score those timely goals every night.

Actually I thought it did.

Much like the NFL, if the ref calls it a goal, that means they've got to see something on the replay worth overturning it. Even if it's not official, it's kind of common sense. They're not going to overturn a call on the ice unless they see something definitive.

You're wrong. Video replay doesn't have to have "conclusive evidence" to overturn a call. Toronto can overturn any call they want.

OH, thats right--it says it in the rules if its an inch above the bar its still good, if its an inch and a half above the bar its no goal---ARE YOU KIDDING!!!
