Ummm, no. Hossa has been an absolute savior for this team so far this year. Too bad everyone else looks like absolute SHlTTTT

Fair call. I knew Hossa was playing blinders and am extremely glad we got him. I also knew (from reading on here) we'd been having D problems but thought with such high scores the forwards were still doing a decent job - hence my disappointment in what i've seen tonight. Granted that is probably due to the fact that we aren't playing a top team in the Sharks as opposed to the lesser teams we've come up against so far.

Thank gosh the period is over. Maybe the Wings will come back rejuvinated and play awesome in the third... I can hope can't I?

Hossa will score again and lebda will have 20 turnovers

I honestly think I'd rather somehow listen to their announcers than listen to Larry Murphy. I can't exactly pinpoint why, but he drives me crazy.

I know what you mean. He has an annoying cadence to his speech. And he raises his voice at unexpected moments, too. He's improved a bit since he's started doing work for CBC and TSN and getting more experience, but he's still tough on the ears.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!! Please, please PLEASE can we get rid of either Sammy, McCarty, Kopy and Lebda.... I'm so sick of seeing them.

Do McCarty and Kopy even have a f'n point thus far?

I much rather would see Helm, Ericcsson and Leino. Put all 3 of them on Waivers and pray they get picked up. Than hopefully we can resign Hossa for next year (I'm still telling you he'll retire as a Wing!)

One more goal against and I am going to bed, 5am comes very quickly.

Brutal second period...

After such a promising start too...

I cannot believe we were actually winning this game at one point. If I wasn't such an optimistic Wings fan, I'd go to bed and take my six hours of sleep...but I guess I'll have to settle for 5.

We are playing terrible tonight dont get me wrong but its the same old song and dance for the Sharks...they are one of the best teams in the league every regular season. Come talk to me in April when the playoffs are on and see if they are still around.

Yeah, as soon as the third goal was scored, I'd have gone to bed. Looks like the Wings have gone to sleep as well.

I hate to say it, but I kinda hope we have a really awesome 3rd period and come back to win the game. Or we have a really bad 3rd period and we can use this game as a wake up call.

Im pretty sure the wings will get it together as the season comes along, but damn...this is pretty bad.

Never thought I would say this a season ago but our defense is just horrible.

No class on fridays!

Lucky...I use to be able to get away with that. Senior yr took all that joy away from me. You go to western, right robat? I went to a Michigan/Western hockey game there 2 yrs ago...it was amusing, to say the least.

Wow... that's totally out of the blue. Where'd you come up with such an observation? Just a random thought? lol (I'm totally joking and being sarcastic buddy)

Thoughts so far:

1. Zetterberg is having a bad game. He's trying to do way too much.

2. Pavel's line is doing well in the offensive zone, but too many giveaways in the D zone.

3. Lebda is frustrating. Lilja too. Offsides and giveaways galore.

4. The Wings are trying to force too much.

5. Detroit does not know how to react when a puck goes behind the net. All of the goals are coming from the back of the net.

6. Hossa's shot is pretty.

It has honestly come to the point where Im hoping for a career ending injury to happen to Mccarty or Maltby, or preferably both. Just look at their face after there shift, its clear that they know they dont have it anymore. The second adn third goals were both agaisnt that line, and either time it looked like a 5-3 powerplay.

Yeah I do. I'm sure it will be even more amusing this year. We play State this weekend. Should be a blow out.
