Yea except Holmer shouldn't even be playing in this game. Have you seen him out there? Probably not because he's slower than all hell and isn't helping out in a single way. Good call. They've been getting away with mailing it in all season. They need to get angry enough about it that they start playing with the something-to-prove attitude they had all last year.

I'm also starting to think we need to trade away 1 or 2 players just to shake the rest of them up.

It was 4-2 after two periods last game too. And we know who won that game.

This team needs two players from Grand Rapids. Aaron Downey and Jimmy Howard. Aaron Downey so that he can beat people into submission and spark the skaters. Jimmy Howard so he can light a fire under Ozzie and Conklin's asses. Of course because of the waiver rules this won't happen, but I'd like to see it at this point.

Just to give you an idea of who we're sharing that territory with, the only teams worse than us are Toronto, Atlanta, Dallas, the Isles, and the Caps. Of those teams, the Caps are the only ones not sitting at the bottom of their division.

I would trade Ty Conklin for Patrick Lalime right now. Better yet, I'd trade him for Roman Cechmanek, if he's still around somewhere.

Well it was Hossa-Zetterberg-Kopecky for a s*** out there. That being said- Hossa-Datsyuk-Kopecky was pretty good for a game.

I've been saying this since the off-season. Bringing back nearly 100% of the team that JUST won the cup is going to negatively affect your work ethic. 91% of this hockey team has 1-4 cups. Theres a reason the last team that won back-to-back cups in the 15 years also had fallen teammates to fight for.

Players need to be benched. Plain and simple. So-called STAR players need to be benched. A message needs to be sent. I'm so glad I haven't had the misfortune to watch this game like the rest of you (streaming feed died for me), but your descriptions set the tone. This team doesn't want it. Maybe Hossa. But the rest? Not a chance.
