ZDH line...

After watching last nights game, I was reminded why ZDH is the best line in hockey. Every single one of their shifts were perfect... great forchecking, great back-checking, great chemestry, etc. I truly think it is a huge mistake to keep Zetterberg and Pavs away from each other therefore I think Babs needs to keep that as the top line for the Red Wings. I mean, their first shift last night they got a dang goal, and just kept at it all night... they are simply at their best when they are together, so lets keep it that way.

Yeah its about time. Z and D hold onto the puck and are so much more patient in the offensive zone. Hossa likes to shoot at every chance he gets, hes never gonna pass when he has a chance to score himself. Z and D will ponder around looking for that for a real scoring chance for 40 seconds or so before they take a shot if they have to.

Although the Wings can certainly put together quite a few effective line combinations, imho, only ZDH is greater than the sum of its parts.

A case in point:

ZDH > Z + D + H

yah and I like having hossa and mule together, two big bodies with great hands. After being reminded last night how great they are together, I don't wanna see ZDH apart again, they are too ******* dangerous to split them up.

Now we just need Babs to follow the rest of my preseason advice.

Cleary/Hudler/Hossa and Franzen/Filppula/Samuelsson as the second and third lines, with Maltby/Draper/Kopecky rounding out as the fourth line.

You really believe Babcock has been "following your advice"?

I'm pretty sure every man and his dog suggested the ZDH line during the preseason.

You're an idiot Doggy. The world revolves around euz. The rest of us just exist in it.

Franzen and Hossa are both great goal scorers, need Flippula on that line to set them up.

I agree with that.

ZDH as the first line.

The Equine Line as the alternate first line. (Because any line with Hossa can't be called a second line.)

Too bad we lost Lang. Huds, Lang, Hossa would have been an unintelligible force against the vast majority of teams in the league.

I'll take Franzen over Lang on that line anyday...
