Supafast... great post i really like when fans of other teams come in here and not talk S%^* like some fans. Can't wait till january 17th tho, i live in sf so ill be at the tank... we should get some beers and hopefully watch a tighter game then tonights. Ive been to the tank many times and sharks fans are a class act. Even when the wings eliminated em a couple years back i was at the game. The fans stood and applauded there team and the wings and were very humble with their lose. With that said wings looked great... im a happy man and lets keep this momentum going guys..

Go Wings

Well I must say that one was very tough to watch. I watched every last second of the game, though it was painful and deflating to do so. The Sharks looked great and like the team I'm used to watching....for the first 8 or 9 minutes. Then Nabby let in back to back softies, and it was ALL Wings from there on out. Full credit to the Wings for taking it to the Sharks pretty much all game.

It's funny, many of you were viewing this game as a possible wake up call for your team...and it may actually end up being a huge wake up call for mine. The Sharks have eeked out quite a few close games lately against lesser opposition...some of the games they had no business winning. They seemed to become a little complacent and were getting by on their skill alone. They found out tonight that there's no way you can put forth that kind of effort against a team that can skate with you and has great talent and skill also.

Had the Sharks lost a close game, one could point to road trips, travel, injuries, back to back games...but there's simply no excuse for a 6-0 defeat. Well actually, there shouldn't be any excuses ever. Wings were the better team tonight, and looked every bit like the defending champs.

All I can do now is just sit and wait until Jan. 17th. I'll be at the tank for that one. Hopefully you guys wont start panicking if your team seems to underperform in the regular season again....you have an incredible team, and like I've already told you, there's no need to worry. It's December. Mid April through June is what counts. Now pardon me while I try to convince myself of that so I feel a bit less depressed.

Respectful, humourous and a good attitude. Nice to know you stuck around to the end!

It figures the Red Wings finally play a good game and I don't get to watch it. That's okay, I'll take it!

Keep an eye on that NHL Torrents site, it'll be up there in about a day

I'd be happy to have a beer with you. I'm in 212, last row, for half the games.

Exactly what I was gonna say. I had a video shoot tonight, didn't get out until about 9 or so. Managed to catch part of the 4rd (and all three goals within, to boot). I thought it was either going to be a close game or WE'D get blown out, not the Sharks. Surreal.

But I have to ask...did we look good...or did we look lucky?

I can honestly say this game was an absolute blast to be watching live. The place was the noisiest, most rowdy I've ever seen, and for the last 30 seconds we were all on our feet cheering for the guys. Pasha was absolutely amazing...that first goal he just hung on to that puck and showed incredible patience. It was like he had three weeks to set up the shot. The second goal was just too beautiful for words. Had he gotten a hat trick, I swear I would have been in tears.

If they play like this Saturday night, I'll definitely think I hit the daily double. As it is, I say to this one Merry Christmas to me! :yowza:

I agree. For only about half the arena being full with a minute left, that place was LOUD! It was definitely great to see the Wings get the round of applause and standing ovation tonight. The deserved it for DESTROYING the best team in the league. We needed to show them what winning a Stanley Cup takes and we handed it to them.

Keep the ball rolling boys! Great W!

This game was the very reason why you all should have complete confidence in your team. They owned the Sharks in every aspect. Now, all of you, start acting like you're fans of the Stanley Cup champs and quit worrying about the Sharks. The Sharks can't match the Wings "A" game yet.

Congrats on the bragging rights..for now.

I am looking forward to the chance of seeing this game as well. I fly back to California on the 9th maybe I should go ahead and buy tickets... I haven't actually made it to the tank yet.

You ever venture to the Tied House?

When I worked in San Jose I'd go there every Friday or when the company would pay for our nights out.

Packed with Sharks fans on hockey days. Would sport my Wings stuff whenever I could. Great people, and very smart hockey fans, just like here.

Heh. When my ex and I went to the Wings/Sharks game (her first game) following the Sweden gold medal in 2006 (the one where the Wings sported a bunch of GR people I hadn't seen yet), we did experience a few rowdy Sharks fans. Her, not being used to drunk people yapping post-game during the walk out to the car (the Sharks did, unsurprisingly, win that game), got pissed off and nearly beat the crap out of some dude, me holding her back because cops were all over the place standing and watching folks, waiting to make a profit for the city by handing out tickets for disorderly conduct. She then got mad because I was laughing at it all.

A little bit of a hangover is a small price to pay for celebrating the Wings spanking the Sharks! I felt that the Wings have a few extra gears at their disposal when the stakes are high but I was starting to despair for our team... F'ing A!

So to all the people who told me the Wings would have got "Run" by the Ducks had the game been 4-1, what happened last night?

What happened last night.

I will admit I never saw this coming in fact if you had told me the score would be 6-0 I would have told you the Sharks won.

But does this allow this board to F*(k1ng relax about how bad the wings are this year?

Just curious what other excuses reasons their is to give up hope be realistic about this team?

OMG, Shore... the Tied House is awesome!! That was my little ritual, too. Before the game, we would have to go get the salmon "fish and chips" and beers. That salmon is the best thing ever.

Wish I still had the consulting job that took me to SJ a lot. I loved going to games there and always made sure I had a "reason" to be in town when the Wings were there.

Great game, I am still smiling this morning. Pasha rules!!

Sharks = Overrated team.

I don't want to hear anymore about their great accomplishments.

BTW, did Marleau or Thornton even play in this game? And where was that overrated midget Dan Boyle at? Their star players were completely erased tonight. It was beautiful.

Please! One bad blowout loss doesn't make them overrated, just that the Wings were on tonight and can beat anyone when they play a full 60 minutes.

Don't go overboard and knock the Sharks for one embarrassing loss, because I guarantee it'll happen to the Wings before the year is over. Are they then overrated?

Great game all-around by the Wings, and they sent (beyond) a statement with this win.
