Man, I should go to christmas parties more often! We are lighting these guys up!

Can someone give me a rundown of the game? Awesome defense? The superstars played like superstars? Whats the deal.

4 points for Datsyuk? Damn. Thats it Pavs!

Sharks controlled the first 10 minutes. It's been all Wings since. In a nutshell.

6-0 SHUTOUT FOR CONK AND THE WINGS!

Best game of the season thusfar.

Albeit beating up on a tired Sharks team, I'll take it.

Best game of the season, plain and simple.

Why hasn't TMac pulled Nabby yet? Pretty embarrassing....

The fact that its 6-0 is awesome, but I want to hear more about the shutout. Did we really shut San Jose down or was luck on there side?

Sharks = Overrated team.

I don't want to hear anymore about their great accomplishments.

BTW, did Marleau or Thornton even play in this game? And where was that overrated midget Dan Boyle at? Their star players were completely erased tonight. It was beautiful.

pretty much as you might imagine. Asses were kicked and they were not clad in red.

Datsyuk has been magic, Conks solid, and everyone else played with confidence and skill.

Best game of the season in my opinion.

Sweet. I'm happy Datsyuk was able to dominate his game. I was starting to wonder about him. Awesome time to come through.

Even if San Jose was tired, this is one score you just can't deny. No doubt the fact that San Jose is crowning itself the King of the league right now had an effect on how well we played. Motivation and desire - its been our problem all year, but not tonight.

Completely shut down. They had 8 shots and 6 scoring chances in the first 10, and didnt generate much afterwards. Had to do with the Wings defence, which were shutdown tonight.

Sharks brought it to us in the first 10 mins or so of the first. We had some lucky bounces and shaky goaltending and the game could have gone the Sharks way quickly. We turned it around the second half of the first and never looked back.

handed them their asses on a platter. passes were crisp, no one out of position, defense was on the money, conks was real solid (not standing on his head....he didn't need to do that. the D was that good). Message sent loud and clear.

The Wings started off a little tentative as both teams were feeling each other out but after a few minutes the Wings took over and after a couple good chances in the first for the Sharks the Wings suffocated them.

Conklin didn't have a lot of work and the Wings were extremely disciplined in not taking penalties and the way they controlled the game. There was maybe one bad giveaway but other than that they were playing the type of hockey that won them the cup.

Full effort by everyone and it's a testament to the way the coaching staff got the Wings prepared.

No more excuses. No more of this "it's early in the season" s***.

We need a convincing win in this one. We need this game to be something to hang our hat on going forward so we can start playing like champions again.

I know it's bad form to quote oneself, but somehow I feel this bears reflection on my part
