Ok, so they suspend avery for saying something dumb OFF THE ICE mind you, and dallas won't take him back. But ruutu bites peters ON THE ICE, gets no penalty and will more than likely get a slap on the wrist. Any player with the intent to injure that bad needs to be locked up in an asylum. If avery is off dallas, ruutu should be kicked out of the ******* country! This is america, we don't ******* bite people here and mods, i'm sorry for the language but damn. This kind of s*** pisses me off til no end. If the sens allow ruutu to continue playing for them....that whole orginization should be lined up one by one and forced to a cage match with mike tyson.

Overreact much? IF Ruutu bit him, he'll be suspended. How's it any worse than a high elbow or a hit to the head though?

i'll tell you how...i had a guy bite the tip of my finger right off in a similar situation. I hit him, clean hit...he comes from behind and punches me in the back of the head, so i turn around...plaster him one right in the kisser and he bites down on my finger. I had to have 2 corrective surgeries, and the nerve was damaged so much that i still can't feel my finger 6 years later. s*** aint funny, who the hell knows what diseases that little prick has?

Give the bastard 30+ games. He won't be missed. There's nothing funny or sportsmanlike about biting people in hockey. Just boxing.

Edit: It's always when I take a few days off from watching the interesting stuff happens.

Oh, and might I add...the guy who bit me...got arrested. I'm not sure what or if he was charged with anything but they arrested him. In hockey, punching = ok..its part of the game. But biting? Thats just considered assault ...possibly with a deadly weapon. I agree shoreline lol...i missed the semin staal fight, then this....damn my job lol

I agree, what kinda ahole shoves his fingers in someones mouth? Im not a fan of Ruutu, but ruutu should have knocked out Peters,

i mean if someone did that to me, i would definately knock them out.

its called a face wash, maybe you guys should watch some hockey games and you would see. it must be late and you guys are clearly not thinking right.

and how does the bite-ee get sent to the penalty box. what a ******* joke.

seein red are you like 11, with those comments.grow up. there is no place for crAP like that here in the nhl.

Couldn't even believe it when I saw it on the highlights last night.

Brings to mind something similar that happened in the Canada/Sweden Gold Medal game in the World Juniors the other night...did anyone notice, I think it was in the second period...there was a scrum in front of the net, bunch of players went down in front, and then you see the Swedish player seemingly bite the Canadian kid's hand. The Canadian player throws his glove off, shaking his hand...all the talk is that the Swedish player bit his hand....I'm going to have to try to find this on YouTube...if I do, I'll post a link.

I can't believe that two similar incidents happen in our sport in the same week. What's up with these guys???

I hate to be a broken record, but it just shows the amount of disrespect there is for each other and for the game in today's NHL, they need to remove the instigator and allow players to police themselves... there's no fear of retribution anymore and therefore, no respect

Lol, Peters has Jazz Hands!

I've been bitten by dogs on the hand, without the protection of a hockey glove, and did not act like that.

I dunno... I'm kinda on the fence on this one. If someone is face-washing me and sticks his fingers in my mouth... my natural tendancy might just be to bite down, honestly.

PS... but what does any of this have to do with Crosby???
