Statts 4 Report post Posted January 26, 2009 Why do women have bad depth perception? Because we've been told that this is 8 inches. (Also explains the need for faking... Get it over, please, just let it end.)
Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted January 26, 2009 I like watching hockey. I like watching pretty girls. I don't care for people (male or female) who don't enjoy watching hockey and watching pretty girls. Someone's gotta shovel that snow, why not make it someone nice to look at? They paint the zambonis up nice and don't let them get all rusty and ugly, why not make with some T&A to do some shoveling? I think most men and women that are comfortable with themselves enjoy eyeing up hot chicks. No offense, but I get nothing out of looking at half-naked women. I'm not a guy. You want to make it equal for all? Have guys skate out in those pants Michael Phelps swam in at the Olympics....then you could have both sexes eye up the slush shovelers. esteef 2,679 Report post Posted January 26, 2009 We could do this all day! Here's a couple that aren't overused: Our last fight was my fault: My wife asked me "What's on the TV?" I said, "Dust!" The most effective way to remember your wife's birthday is to forget it once. Women will never be equal to men until they can walk down the street with a bald head and a beer gut, and still think they are beautiful. Cheers! esteef

Although I'm not sexually attracted to men, as a guy with a passing interest in physical fitness I can still appreciate a chisseled guy. ....altough, if half naked buff guys is what you want, I wish you'd just join me in calling for the repeal of the instigator and Rob Ray (tiedown) rules. I'm not into half naked guys, but even I enjoy a male stripshow if there's a fight involved in there somewhere:)
Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted January 26, 2009 I think the fights were far more entertaining when they could do just about anything short of killing the other person. Jerry Springer fights I used to call it. Bring back the entertainment!

Guest GordieSid&Ted Report post Posted January 26, 2009 I did.. but let's be realistic. It's not the face the men in the stands are that focused on. If it was, there'd be no need for the skirts & midriff tops. I don't watch the Wings because I find them attractive. In fact, with helmets, visors, and pads on - I can hardly see anything at all. I don't think girls in barely-there clothing evens that out. Also, some of the players are old enough to be my father. The idea of being attracted to any of them makes me shudder. You wanna see half naked girls? Go to a strip club. You wanna see a hockey game? Go to the Joe Louis Arena. It's enough that I have to sit around drunk men talking about hot secretaries at work that they'd like to bang (yes, last game - this actually happened), I don't need to hear guys groan, grunt, and cheer whenever a girl showing her belly button ring skates out. Personally, I think you're wound too tight. Football and basketball have them. Baseball even has some. And ice girls or girls in the stands or in between periods is nothing really new to hockey either. Been going on for years. Sure, its bad enough you have to listen to lewd men in the stands. But so what. It's a sporting event. For you to say go to a strip club, I could just as easily say, it's sports, cheerleaders are nothing new. If you don't want to be around that, or around lewd men, then go to an all women's knitting class or something. People these days have skin about as thick as a piece of paper. I swear, people are just looking to be offended by something. Personally, I don't care if they have them or not. I don't go to the Joe so doesn't mean anything to me either way. Is it degrading? That's a matter of personal opinion. And i've always believed that as much of an opinionated blowhard as I am, I have no right to judge, nor deny other folks what they may want, within rational boundaries of course. A lot of people think I'm wound too tight.. which doesn't bother me at all. I don't drink, do drugs, wear revealing clothing, or support/encourage actions that feed off of those things. The idea of ice girls WOULD be new for the Red Wings. I certainly don't tell the men to change their behavior when they're out drinking with their buddies - no matter how much I may want to. I know what I'm getting into when I'm brought to those events. But I see absolutely no reason for the Red Wings organization to feed off of the hormones of the guys in the stands. You may think I'm thin skinned. I'm just very strong in what I believe in. I have morals and class - which make up the majority of who I am. I love hockey and I love the Red Wings, and it would be insulting to me to add something so tacky and ridiculous into my hockey experience.

I don't drink, do drugs, wear revealing clothing, or support/encourage actions that feed off of those things. Actually, if you attend a Wings game, you do encourage drinking, at least passively. You could boycott the Joe until they quit profiting off of the sale of alcohol. You could also boycot the Wings until they either make Karen Neuman get her old boobs back or dress in a potato sack while she sings the anthem. I know what I'm getting into when I'm brought to those events. But I see absolutely no reason for the Red Wings organization to feed off of the hormones of the guys in the stands.. How about this reason: The good of the community. The Cheerleaders/ice girls/dance teams that represent professional sports teams frequently take part in many fund raisers and make a lot of appearences at charitable events. HockeytownRN 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2009 I'm all for it if they would get rid of the new girl they have doing the "season ticket holder of the game." She is getting a "little" better but she still sucks. I think it is hilarious watching the jaws on the men around me drop when Newman sings, or the chicks dancing on the jumbotron. I don't know if some of them could handle a pretty girl in a skirt on the ice.....seriously.
Guest micah Report post Posted January 26, 2009 Sorry, nothing you say is going to change my stance or my mind. Also - I never buy my own game tickets.. so my money isn't encouraging anything. I'm sorry, I haven'tseen you post much and had no idea you were so against critical thinking. I'm an adult and you're a child, so I'm going to give you some advice that might help you to grow into a better person. It's free. This list is from The Disposition Toward Critical Thinking, a Nutshell Guide, telecommunications. Critical thinkers exhibit: inquisitiveness with regard to a wide range of issues, concern to become and remain well-informed, alertness to opportunities to use critical thinking, trust in the processes of reasoned inquiry, self-confidence in one*s own abilities to reason, open-mindedness regarding divergent world views, flexibility in considering alternatives and opinions understanding of the opinions of other people, fair-mindedness in appraising reasoning, honesty in facing one*s own biases, prejudices, stereotypes, or egocentric tendencies, prudence in suspending, making or altering judgments, willingness to reconsider and revise views where honest reflection suggests that change is warranted. If you are, as you state, certain that you are correct and not going to change your mind, you are a fool. I think it will wear off as you age, it often does...still, you might want to work on it. I have a bunch of rad stuff that my friend stole. I didn't steal it, so I am not morally bankrupt....right?
