55fan 5,133 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 Hmm...according to the ticker... We have 5 goals, they have 5 shots. Coincidence? Well, yeah. Probably.
Ms_Hockey 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 Well, out of that slaughter, maybe the most important news is that Franzen is hurt. He got hit with a shot, didn't he? Yeah - we don't know if it was his arm or his wrist. Then he got smacked in the face.
Guest mindfly Report post Posted February 7, 2009 Anyone know how bad the injury to franzen is??
Nev 1,085 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 Bloody hell, what a period! That was like a 20 minute powerplay. With the ice tilted in our direction! Incredible, now hopefully Detroit can keep up it up - we've seen too many defensive collapses this season after jumping out to a big lead *cough* Pittsburgh *cough*

Wingsallwin 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 Hmm...according to the ticker... We have 5 goals, they have 5 shots. Coincidence? Well, yeah. Probably. 5goals per period multiply by 3period, then 15 goals we will win this game by 15 and oilers will have 15 shots on us.

Jericho613 74 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 I love the fact that Flip and Hossa work well together, great line. And it allows for the Euro Twins to be on the same line again.

Wingsallwin 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 No, I haven't heard anything yet. =/ Hopefully, he'll be back in the 2nd. I think it is not that serious and if he does not come back in this game, I still think he will be back tomorrow.
SDavis35 140 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 Edmonton is embarassing... how many times since the All-star break have they allowed 5+? I recall the 10-2 slaughtering the sabres had. Now we're up by 5, can't remember the last time they did that. My only concern now: how we play tomorrow, will we have wasted all our goals for the weekend? Or can we pull it off? Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 And how many weird looks did you get as you were cheering in your car? Haha, didn't really pay attention, but my fist did pump in the air 5 times I got in the car and turned on the game and the first thing I heard was Roli's shot on Cleary and the goal soon afterward. Yak19 303 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 Cleary's goal just gives further proof that any damage to the testicles creates super powers. Lance Armostrong... Phil Kessel... Dan Cleary. Interesting, im going to bag myself before my next hockey game. As for this game WOOOT, the Oilers are playing bad but its good that we are taking advantage and making the most of it thats what good teams do, its a good sign. Keep it going. GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Winged_Wheeler 3 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 If Franzen's injury isn't too bad I'd have him sit out in the 2nd and come back during the 3rd to be on the safe side.
