I don't think there's any doubt he will be on the team in the playoffs.

My concern is who he'll replace if the there aren't any injuries. I can't see Babs scratching veteran Maltby, and I'm concerned that because Kopecky didn't get to play in the playoffs last year because of the injury, they'll give him a free pass to playoff hockey. And those are the only 2 options for the Wings. No way Babs scratches anyone else - even Draper.

The fact that the Devils can do so well without Brodeur, on the one hand, is encouraging when I think about not having Lidstrom in a few years. On the other hand, it could just be a testament to the fact that you dont need a great goaltender if you have a great system.

Same. I thought the Devils' offenses were brutal before I watched few of their games but unlike last few seasons, Devils' offenses stepped up. But without Brodeur, Clemmensen is doing a great job. He is too good as a back up I meant.

Sometimes NJ offenses do not produce but by scoring one goal, they can win. But not the Wings this season.

It is not like the team can win or lose without their best players. More like motivation, that is what the Devils have done great.

I think the Wings look to be motivated more than before so let's see.

By the way, is ice in JLA good quality? Because I have noticed that the puck bounces weirdly once a month.

Its perennially ranked one of the best, if not the best, in the NHL by the players. Might just be an off day.

Osgood didn't need to play that puck. Rafalski had it.

Rafalski NEVER had it. Rafalski's good, but at least 1/3 of the time, he shoots the puck into the opponent's feet, and this time he just plain missed it. PERIOD.

Yeah, and there's MORE! Yeah, and not only that, they should give Oz a blowhorn everytime Flip is on the ice so he can bellow, "SHOOT THE ******* PUCK!!!". And it's obviously on him that so far they haven't passed the puck for s*** or are they able to get out of each other's way, so maybe in his spare time he could help the coaches work on that? And he can also help them work on playing better in front of their net and actually clearing the puck so he doesn't have to stop the slew of shots that came a little later in the period? WHICH HE DID?

THAT SCREW-UP WAS ONE-HALF OZ, ONE-HALF RAFALSKI so how's about you Oz-Hating-Knee-Jerk-Freaks keep yer blood pressure down, or at least take those blinders o, at least for the next two periods?

The continual improvement of youngsters like Zajac and Parise has made a huge difference. Colorado always had a ton of two-way guys who were gritty and hard-working, but they were missing a complete top 6. No with Elias and Lagennbrunner having somewhat of comeback seasons, and Zajac and Parise runing around out there, its been a huge difference.

But youre right - the Devils can still win by scoring just a goal or two, and we can't.

I'm pretty sure Rafalski would have picked that one up if Oz didn't push it away from him at the last instant. Ozgood apologists are hilarious. Obvious goalie blunder. Rule 1 - when in doubt let the D-man play it. Or at the very leasst push hard to the corner.

you go ahead and do that! Even if by some miracle he totally turns his game around in the playoffs and plays as he did last year, it still wouldn't change te fact that he has been average to atrociious up to this point in the season.

And calling it how it is doesn't make you a hater, I'v always loved Ozzy but I just can't comprehend why he keeps starting at this point in the season. Maybe it's you who needs to take the blinders off and realize how bad he has been. With that said, I'm not going any further into this ozzy debate, it is useless.
