I dont think theres really a Franzen or Hossa debate, now that Hossa signing for 6M has actually become feasible. I've been vocal about taking Franzen over Hossa, because of depth/salary concerns, but that was in anticipation of Hank and Hossa each making around 7M. But if you consider that Hossa and Hank could potentially cut us 1M a piece, thats 2M saved, and if the difference between Hossa and Franzen is a mere 2M - 4M for Franzen vs. 6M for Hossa - then the choice is obvious.

Oh no man i agree, i was just saying for people who don't know who they like more or would like to keep more if we could only keep one, that hossa has that huge upside where he can just seem to score at will. Franzen is also a defensive liability at times (see game 5 vs pens where his weak attempt to clear directly lead to the tying goal)

Colorado's defense is ridiculously protective when they have the lead - and theyre good at it too. Once their lead is erased, they're more focused on moving the puck up the ice - and they aren't good at that. Advantage Wings.

it seriously disturbs me that this it will only take one goal to tie this up and ozzy is in net. we could really use a couple of insurance goals.

On a more interesting note, Kronwall is playing worlds better without Stuart. Our PK looks better now, as well. I hope Babcock shakes the idea that Stuart and Kronwall together is a good idea anymore.

It hasn't really been his friend at all this season. Poor guy. He works like a horse, but its not coming easy for him like it has in the past. Hes been better since he got those contract negotiations off his back.

It's funny that you should say that. Many Ozzy haters come of like Ozzy is $7 million dollar goalie by the way they cry and stomp their feet whenever a goal goes in, regardless if it's an impossible tip in that NO GOALIE would save.

Last I checked, Ozzy's only a 1.5 mil goalie. His JOB is to give Wings a chance to win, and that is EXACTLY what Ozzy does.
