Mike 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2009 Hopefully Howard impresses. Good thing is, he also has some pressure to perform so we'll see if it helps his game any. I expect the defense wants to make the game easy for Jimmy, so they should be on their heads as well.
RedStormRising 7 Report post Posted February 21, 2009 All I know is Howard better have a good game because I'm paying for both me and my brothers tickets! Let's Go Wings!
Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted February 21, 2009 Wings win, Hank with the hat trick. I'll keep saying it until it happens. LOL
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted February 21, 2009 So Leino is the latest to be shafted by Kopecky, good stuff. I hoe Boogaard bumps into him so he gets absolutely smashed. Man oh man. But with the way Jimmy played last season, I think we're gonna get a big win tonight. Cleary and Zetterberg always play great versus Minnesota, so I expect the top line to make some magic tonight. dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted February 21, 2009 (edited) Expecting a big game from Hossa. Atleast a pair of goals from him. Let's say a.. 4-2 Win. Edited February 21, 2009 by dat's sick
RedStormRising 7 Report post Posted February 21, 2009 I know there are quite a few Minnesota Wings fans on LGW, anyone else going to the game tonight?
Carman 387 Report post Posted February 21, 2009 5- and that one number shaped like an egg. Helm with one, hossa with a hattie, and liddy with one.
Vladifan 680 Report post Posted February 21, 2009 Maltby is in for Leino tonight; Babcock says he wants to get a rotation going on the 4th line for the time being. Why oh WHY can't they put Leino AND Maltby AND Drapes on the fourth line? It worked well before so what the hey??!! Yeah, I know it might be taken as a demotion for Leino, but it would probably make that line a force again. But do they call? HELL no!
Vincanni 1 Report post Posted February 21, 2009 Really hope Jimmy can get a win tonight, seems like he always plays a good game yet our team finds a way to lose whenever he's in net.
Vladifan 680 Report post Posted February 21, 2009 (edited) I hope Filppula scores a goal tonight just to piss off the LGW members. I would hope for him to score a hat trick, but I think that would be catastrophic to the forum for many years to come. I will be one of the first to whoop, yeehaa and holler if he scores. Yeah, you won't hear me but you may feel the vibrations. Edited February 21, 2009 by Vladifan
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted February 21, 2009 So Leino is the latest to be shafted by Kopecky, good stuff. I hoe Boogaard bumps into him so he gets absolutely smashed. Man oh man. You're joking, right? On the first part and in bold, I hope..
Vladifan 680 Report post Posted February 21, 2009 4-3 Wings, Helm with his first regular season goal. I'm thinking 3-2 Wings because of the Wild's stupid, boring defensive play. I'd love to be wrong about how Howard plays. Fine with me if he gets a shutout ahready.
seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted February 21, 2009 The Wild lose 3-14. Leino, angered by being forced to sit again in favor of an aging veteran and a grinder with a low amount of skill, scores all 14 goals telepathically from the press box.

P. Marlowe 748 Report post Posted February 21, 2009 (edited) This is an interesting night as both Sharks and Bruins are playing too. Trashers-Sharks game is still 0-0 after two periods. Bruins-Panthers game starts at 7:00 pm. NHL.com preview says that Conklin will propably start even though it was made known couple of days ago that Howard would start this game. Not the first fact they've gotten wrong. Edited February 21, 2009 by P. Marlowe
redwing_sparty 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2009 so this is going off on a tangent but... i noticed nbc was showing gymnastics all afternoon. are they seriously saying that more people will sit down and watch gymnastics on a sat afternoon then would watch a hockey game? i can't believe that. anyways go wings! I Red Wings I 40 Report post Posted February 21, 2009 Howards record with Detroit is 1-4 I think, it's a B2B game, in Minnesota, and they're out of the picture by 2 points. Well hopefully Detroit plays great, I don't think it's an easy win as everyone implies, might get a little sloppy. Go Wings!

I don't think I've even seen him play before so I'm looking forward to it. It seems now, that Red Wings won't surpass Sharks tonight. They're leading 3-1. 55fan 5,133 Report post Posted February 22, 2009 (edited) Mikko Koivu misses the game due to a police interview for being associated with someone who is associated with someone who is associated with someone who may have committed a crime. Not going to be an easy game. Mild score first and play a conservative game after that. Wings manage a Pasha Magic goal, and then in the final minute, the Wings are attempting to change and the puck flies towards the bench, hits Kopy, bounces off of his stick, hits Flip in the butt, and Lilja recovers it and flies in for the GWG.
